There's only one thing that Carlos Tevez loves more than a spur-of-the-moment South American city break with the kids and that's breaching his Man City contract, so you can imagine just how giddy he was after succesfully managing to combined this two twin passions yesterday.

If we are to believe local news, ATLETICO DE MADRID has finally managed to secure the loan & services of Brazilian midfielder DIEGO RIBAS from German Club WOLFSBURG. Nothing is as yet official, but recent negotiations & the players desire to play in Spanish Football give weight to the optimism being expressed by Atletico & the Spanish Sports press this afternoon.

Puebla based Periodico Sintesis, a local news outlet arm of Periodico Digital, is reporting that the Philadelphia Union's Carlos Ruiz is all but set to join former club Puebla FC when the transfer window opens on July 15.

Ruiz has been linked to multiple teams throughout Mexico and his native Guatemala, most notably Puebla and Estudiantes.

There have been several changes to the Wizards this off season. And now that we have a few games under our belt I think it would be a good idea to talk about what might have been or will be the best change so far. Ludwig, the Lady Bulldogs' other captain, wasn't sure at first whether she would play soccer in college at all. What sold her on joining the Missouri S&T roster were her future teammates, she said.

I really wanted to post a link to this story on it's own rather than link it in the comments section of a particular post since I think it really illustrates why the supporter's culture in soccer is different than the fan culture of the "big four" sports in the US.
