With the month of pink just ending maybe November will be known as the month of yellow? The
Yellow Submarines have finally reached the surface and as a result have ended all jokes and
metaphores about them sinking into the ocean depths. Villarreal looked like a different team
this last weekend then they have all season.
With Barcelona's convincing wins against Racing and Malaga added to Real Madrid getting two
quick and easy wins against Villareal and Tenerife the two undefeated teams left in the Premiere
Division have finally gotten away from a crowded pack.
The separation came easier when Bilbao dropped two straight games (against Sevilla and
Tenerife.

I did. The shenanigans around the club bewitched, bothered and bewildered me to the point of
becoming a simpering, whimpering child again.
Dalport, Vicente Soriano's heel turn, Colombian drug lords/lingerie salesmen, Juan Soler the
Hutt and David Villa's impending transfer to one of either Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea,
Liverpool, the New York Yankees or the Dallas Cowboys .
Fans line up at the Cornella El Prat to pay their respect to Dani Jarque
Spain paid its respect to Espanyol skipper Dani Jarque whose body was brought back to Barcelona
and lay in repose at the chapel of the Cornella- El Prat.
A number of clubs showed up to say farewell to the young defender who tragically died three days
ago at the age of 26 years of a sudden heart attack.
Click to continue reading...
For those who wonder about the idea of 'running the score up' against an opponent, read the AP wire
report of a pre-season exhibtion between Villarreal and Navata. Where this seems to be a common
practice in college football, this has reached a new level in soccer. GERONA, Spain (AP) -- Villarreal has begun its Spanish league preparations with a 27-0 victory
over minnows Navata in a preseason friendly.Click to continue reading...
We've been stalling on reporting this because we're somehow hoping that something will still happen
and signing Villa is still possible. But after all the recent reports, it looks like we can't
ignore it any longer... Ibrahimovic's arrival in Barcelona seems inevitable. Valencian sources claim that Villa has decided to stay in Barcelona. Click to continue reading...
FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta along with Txiki Begiristain were in Milan negotiating the
possible transfer of Inter´s star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Inter president Massimo Moratti
confirmed today that in fact the meeting did take place. The discussion surrounded a possible swap
of Ibrahimovich for Samuel Etoó with also a possibility of Alexander Hleb being included.
Villa looks like he's about to go rob a bank in the photo above... but sadly,
it was announced today that Barca are not willing to pay 50 million
euros for him. Now, someone needs to rob Real Moneda's bank!
Potter Perez should be surrounded by the dancers on Chiambretti Night and maybe
Laporta can get at least 30m.
After receiving the news directly yesterday evening from the currentVALENCIA CF President Manuel
Llorente that DAVID VILLA will notbe sold unless his Club receives an offer of between 50-55 M€,

The much anticipated meeting between Valencia's president Manuel Llorente and Jose Luis Tamargo,
David Villa's agent took place yesterday. Llorente reiterated his desire to see Villa continue
playing for Valencia for another season but it appears that Villa though his agent has expressed
his desire to leave the Mestalla for the Nou Camp immediately.
It's not we were hoping for, nor what we expected. The meeting on Villa between the two parties has
been concluded, and Valencia president Manuel Llorente is being more of an annoying prick than we
thought he could be, declaring that Villa won't leave Valencia for less than fifty million. He is so dreaming though. Click to continue reading...
And when I say fun, I should say 'fun' ... I guess this beats selling the entire team to a bunch
of overseas scammers, eh? Oh wait ...
Anyways, what's new with the ongoing soap opera/telenovela known as 'As The Mestalla Turns?'
Let's find out ... - If you read yesterday's comments page, you know some of our fine readers have been knocking on
doors and trying to find out all they can about Dalport.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around this ... so you mean to tell me Vicente Soriano is back,
he's the new boss, an American company is supposedly involved, the debt will be wiped out and all
is well in our ongoing soap opera?
NO ME DIGAS!! I was enjoying the American 4th of July holiday yesterday afternoon, sipping on a red wine and
eating a chicken shish kebob in the woods of upstate New York when my phone vibrated.
One day Manchester United calls, the next Real Madrid is banging on the door for a date.
Today, the hot rumor concerns FC Barcelona, who want the services of Villa for €40m plus a
loan of either CB MartÃn Cáceres or newly acquired striker Keirrison, who we flirted with last
year.
It was the last day of group matches in Group A as Spain took on  South Africa and Iraq faced
New Zealand. Spain had already clinched their semifinal spot but the 2nd spot was up for grabs.

While six of Our Beloved Valencia CF players ply their trade in South Africa for the Spanish
national team at the Confederations Cup, we're left to wonder how many of them will still be VCF
players when they come back.
Many will turn their attention to star striker David Villa.
Today's one year to the 2010 World Cup and if you've been following me on the Road to 2010, you
know I'm hoping to be in South Africa.
We'll see if that's possible.
One thing's that's for sure is that players like David Villa, David Silva and Raul Albiol will
be representing Spain in South Africa next summer, much like they are at this summer's
Confederations Cup.
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has expressed his sadness at the financial downfall of his former
club Valencia. The Spaniard won two Primera Division titles during his spell in charge at Estadio Mestalla but has
slammed the handling of the club since his departure. Valencia finished sixth this season but look set for a player exodus as the club battle against
financial meltdown. Click to continue reading...
Now that the €92 million capital increase has been approved and Manuel Llorente is the new VCF
president, can we leave the back room machinations behind and focus on what we're really here for?
Valencia CF football?
Don't get your hopes up. Because now that we know where the club is headed in the near future, the belt tightening will
begin.
