According to Sunderland's official website, Liverpool have agreed to a fee,
rumored to be around £20 million, for Sunderland midfielder Jordan
Henderson. A club spokesperson said:
"A fee has been agreed with Liverpool for Jordan Henderson and he travels to Anfield today with
the club's blessing.
According to James Pearce at the Liverpool Echo, Aston Villa winger
Stewart Downing has decided not to commit to a new deal with the club right now,
putting Liverpool on alert. Downing said,
"I know the club are keen for me to extend my contract as I only have two years left on my deal
and that my agent had a recent meeting with our chief executive (Paul Faulkner).
According to David Hytner at the Guardian, Arsenal boss Arsene
Wenger is prepared to sell midfielder Andrei Arshavin to raise funds this
summer. It is reported that Arsenal will look to recoup most of the £15million that they spent on
the 29-year-old.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool midfielder Maxi
Rodriguez is happy at the club and wants to stay. Rodriguez said,

Milan Jovanovic regrets signing with the club last summer and appears to want out.

have begun talks with Liverpool about signing Alberto Aquilani
permanently. However it is reported that the pre-agreed price of £14.4million may have to be

are close to signing Rennes Midfielder Sylvain Marveaux, who will be a free agent in

midfielder Alberto Aquilani believes Juventus will permanently
sign his client. Franco Zavaglia said,

would not mind going back to Ajax on loan if Liverpool were to sign striker
