Finally someone in authority at Liverpool FC has stood up to Luis Suarez and told him that his
actions at Old Trafford on Saturday are not acceptable.
Ayre issued this statement on the Liverpool web site:
"We are extremely disappointed Luis Suarez did not shake hands with Patrice Evra before
yesterday's game.
What an excellent day of football we all had yesterday, starting with the controversial
Manchester United, Liverpool match at Old Trafford , and a result that went our way with Liverpool
losing 2-1.
I am not so sure about all the Suarez, Evra hype though as it is obvious that there is bad blood
between the two of them, but to the credit of Evra he was willing to shake Suarez's hand before the
match, but Suarez refused.
Liverpool might end up in fourth position and wrap up a League Cup, perhaps even an FA Cup
trophy too. At the season's end, however, the most poignant event, the most significant, will still
be the Luis Suarez debacle. This club, Liverpool, of the John Barnes era, which stood up against
continued racism (during the days when bananas were thrown at the England winger, and star
Liverpool player, John Barnes from the terraces) has now sided with a player found guilty of racist
incitement by a tribunal.
So Sir Alex has come out after the match and made comments directed towards Luis Suarez that he
thinks he is a disgrace and should never play for our club again.
"He's a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club, that certain player should not be allowed to play
for Liverpool again."
I personally think Sir Alex is a Hypocrite with a very short memory of his own "Honourable"
club.

Sir Alex Ferguson didn't hold back in his assessment of Luis Suarez in his post-match interview
with the BBC:
"Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club. He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool
again. He could have caused a riot.
Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that after refusing to shake Patrice Evra's hand ahead of
kick-off, Luis Suarez should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again.
"I could not believe it, I just could not believe it," Ferguson said. "He's a
disgrace to Liverpool Football Club, that certain player should not be allowed to play for
Liverpool again.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson didn't mince his words over Luis Suarez's refusal to shake
hands with Patrice Evra. The Scot said that Suarez should never play for the Liverpool again.
"Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club," said Ferguson. "He should not be allowed to play
for Liverpool again.
"We don't think he should ever have been away but we are delighted to get him back," Kenny
Dalglish said when asked about the return of Luis Suarez following Monday's match against
Tottenham. The response from the papers was immediate—and exactly what one would have guessed it
would be.
"Kenny Dalglish has risked infuriating Manchester United ahead of Luis Suarez's appearance at
Old Trafford next weekend," began the always understated Daily Mail.
Ahead of United's game against Liverpool at the weekend, Kenny Dalglish has created even more
ill-feeling by claiming that Luis Suarez, who was found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra,
shouldn't have been banned.
"We don't think he should ever have been away but we are delighted to get him back," he
said.
Against Wolves, Jordan Henderson only misplaced four of his passes from open play for a
completion rate topping 90%. He may not have connected on any of his seven attempted crosses, which
does rather drag down his overall numbers, but it is nonetheless an impressive statistic. As for
how he achieved such a high completion rate, the answer is a fairly simple one: He kept it
simple.
Jose Enrique has been excellent for Liverpool football club since arriving from Newcastle United,
and he has (arguably) proven to the most consistent of all Kenny Dalglish's summer signings. John
Aldridge is a big fan of the player, but he believes the Spaniard's form has tailed off a little
over the last few weeks.
Merseyside Police are investigating a Liverpool fan caught on TV mimicking a monkey during the
Red's smash and grab 2-1 win over Manchester United at Anfield today.
Match Commander Ch Supt Jon Ward said: "This matter is now under investigation by specialist
hate crime detectives and we are working with Liverpool Football Club to identify the man in
question.
Winning the Carling Cup this season would be a great boost for Liverpool football club, but I'm
sure most fans would agree that finishing 4th must remain the number one priority. Anfield legend
Mark Lawrenson doesn't think so, and he inexplicably believes that the club's owners would - given
the choice - prefer a Carling Cup win over qualification for next season's Champions League.

Aside from the 17 ejections, two arrests and the fact that, almost entirely in unison, Anfield
saw fit to boo a victim of racial abuse at the hand's of one of their own players for the entire
game the atmosphere at today's FA Cup tie between Liverpool and Manchester United was just about as
placid and tolerant as it was ever likely to be.
The FA Cup may well be the oldest football cup competition in the world a fact that television
viewers will doubtlessly be reminded of around three hundred times over the next seventy-two hours
or so -but football supporters that don't have to habitually wipe rage-induced spittle from the
corner of their mouths could well be forgiven for approaching this weekends fixtures in the Fourth
Round of the competition with a degree of trepidation.
Liverpool football club have taken several youngsters on trial over the last few weeks, including
Swedish midfielder Gustav Engva; Ghana youth midfielder Mumuni Abubakar, and Swedish teenager Abdul
Aziz, who had to cut short his trial due to illness. Now, the club is taking a look at another
Scandinavian prospect, a central defender from Norway.
It can be often be difficult for young players in certain positions to make it at Liverpool
football club, and goalkeeper is possibly the hardest position of all to break into. Danish stopper
Martin Hansen has found this out over the last five years at Anfield, and now it seems he's had
enough of sitting on the sidelines.
Despite spending over 100m on attacking players over the last year, Liverpool football club have
scored less league goals than relegation fodder like Bolton and Blackburn. Clearly, the club needs
a new striker, and Anfield legend Steve Nicol believes that Fulham striker Clint Dempsey could do a
great job for Liverpool.
Henry Winter believes Kenny Dalglish's outburst following the Bolton defeat is "unprecedented" in
the history of Liverpool Football Club.
The Reds boss publically criticized members of his squad following the 3-1 loss at the Reebok
Stadium, accusing them of showing a lack of respect to their opponents and being distracted by
Wednesday's Carling Cup semi-final second leg with Manchester City and next weekend's FA Cup clash
with Manchester United.
Liverpool FC announced plans to open its first ever international football Academy in the Egyptian
capital of Cairo.
The groundbreaking venture, a first for Liverpool FC in the Middle East, was officially unveiled by
Reds legend Ian Rush at a ceremony attended by media from all over the region.
The Academy, when it officially opens early next month, will have a permanent base in Madinaty, a
new 33 million square metre ultra-modern extension city being built within New Cairo, with a
supporting soccer school in nearby Al Rehab designed to help identify the best young footballing
talent in Cairo.
Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre insists any perception that Liverpool's handling of the Luis
Suarez affair means they take a soft stance on racism is "totally and utterly rubbish".
The Reds have come in for criticism in recent weeks for the way they have behaved during Luis
Suarez's unsuccessful defence against allegations he racially abused Manchester United's Patrice
Evra.

A comfortable scoreline and advancement to the next round of the FA Cup. Struggling players
getting on the scoresheet. A good day, then. Even a great day. When absolutely nothing went wrong
and no bad news came out...

Oldham's Tom Adeyemi, a 20-year old lad playing in one of the most prevalent games of his
professional career to date, was reduced to tears - I'll say that again, reduced to
tears at Anfield last night by a small group of Liverpool-aligned flesh-wastes in the Kop and
their toxic, racist oral excreta.
For transitional fossil Kenny Dalglish, it is surely time to evolve.
Last nights racist abuse of Tom Adeyemi is purely the fault of the Liverpool Football Club.
Dalglish and his players are heroes to some very very stupid people.
These neuronically moronic pick up mass hysterias that allow them to shroud their inate fear and
weaknesses with the misplaced sense of hyper-power that is racism.

Erm, I guess bad things come in fours, not threes then. Coming swiftly on the heels of Robbie
Fowler's innocent yet badly timed Lionel Richie 'black-up', Alan Hansen's 'coloured' remarks and
the Luis Suarez case, comes news that Oldham youngster Tom Adeyemi was allegedly racially abused by
Liverpool fans during last night's FA Cup game at Anfield (which the Reds won 5-1).

Kenny Dalglish's touch deserts him in case of misplaced solidarity | Richard
Williams
The Luis Suárez affair has tested the judgment of a manager who is the embodiment of Liverpool
FC No wonder Liverpool people sometimes feel isolated and victimised. Only last week the release of
government papers under the 30-year rule revealed that in 1981, in the wake of the Toxteth riots,
the chancellor of the exchequer, Sir Geoffrey Howe, suggested to Margaret Thatcher and their
cabinet colleagues that the troubled city was a hopeless case and should be allowed to fall into a
state of "managed decline".
