This match was always going to be focused on the saga between Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra and
unfortunately things didn't get off to a very good start in a game which saw Liverpool lose
2-1.
Luis Suarez decided not to shake Patrice Evra's hand to which Evra reacted physically to by
attempting to pull Suarez's hand away from De Gea's.
So its almost upon us, the biggest derby in the Premier League.

Manchester United can go top of the table with a win as they host rivals Liverpool in the
English Premier League. The match will take place at Old Trafford in Manchester, England on
Saturday, February 11, 2012.
It's ok... I've got it...Liverpool make the short trip up the M62
on Saturday to face their North West rivals Manchester United. After knocking United out of the FA
Cup last month Liverpool will certainly feel like they have a great chance on Saturday despite the
match being played on United's home turf.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp was cleared of tax evasion charges earlier today, and
whilst that's great for him and Spurs, it could be bad news for Liverpool FC. The jury in the case
- which was heard at Southwark Crown Court - delivered a unanimous verdict in favour of Redknapp
and former Portsmouth Chairman Milan Mandaric, and afterwards, Redknapp blasted the decision to
bring the
"We don't think he should ever have been away but we are delighted to get him back," Kenny
Dalglish said when asked about the return of Luis Suarez following Monday's match against
Tottenham. The response from the papers was immediate—and exactly what one would have guessed it
would be.
"Kenny Dalglish has risked infuriating Manchester United ahead of Luis Suarez's appearance at
Old Trafford next weekend," began the always understated Daily Mail.
What? ... No i'm not bloody offside! Meow...Liverpool fought hard
on Monday night in an attempt to take three points from Tottenham Hotspur but with no goals from
either side the highlight of the game ended up going to a little mischievous cat. The Reds played
well but just couldn't find a goal as Spurs showed some staunch defending.
Be great if he scored!...Liverpool welcome Tottenham to Anfield
Monday night as they look to continue their good run of form and pick up some more points in the
League. With Luis Suarez completing his ban, the Anfield faithful can't wait to see him back on the
pitch, an extra threat for Spurs to be aware of.

Episode Four : A New Trial.....
In a time not so long ago, in a world departed from this reality....
A Man divided opinion of what was right and decent
A Man led a country; All its people, All casts,
All its hopes rested on his shoulders
His Name was John Terry.
After I wrote a while ago that Manchester City were the clear favourites for the Premier League
title this year, my opinion seems to have changed over the past few weeks. Their recent form has
seen them playing decent enough but Manchester United have gone that extra mile. Manchester City
has lost on far too many occasions this season.
Carroll celebrates with Bellamy and Henderson...Liverpool put
three past a lacklustre Wolves side yesterday at a freezing cold Molineux. Andy Carroll got himself
on the score sheet whilst Wolves struggled to find a goalscorer at all. The win moved Liverpool
into 5th in the table.
Wolves had less worries than originally thought injury wise as Frimpong ended up being able to
start in midfield for McCarthy's side.
Liverpool have apologised after they used footage of a fan making a racist gesture towards
Manchester United defender Patrice Evra in a highlights package on their official website. A
spokesman for Liverpool FC told the BBC: "We can confirm that footage was mistakenly included in
the highlights package that appeared on the website.
I'd love for Carroll to score in this one...Liverpool travel to
my hometown of Wolverhampton on Tuesday night as they prepare to face Wolves in the Premier League.
Liverpool are on a massive high after knocking both Manchester City and Manchester United out of
the League and FA Cup, but can the Reds compose themselves in exactly the sort of fixture that has
caused them to stumble in the league?
Liverpool have launched an investigation to identify a fan who made monkey gestures during
Liverpool's 2-1 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup 4th Round. As the video above clearly
shows, the Reds fan in the cream top with a cap is seen making monkey gestures at Manchester United
players. Merseyside police are now [.
Kuyt gets the winner...Liverpool successfully knocked Manchester
United out of the FA Cup on Saturday in a 2-1 win at Anfield. The Reds can now boast getting the
better of both teams in Manchester in less than a week. A Dirk Kuyt winner grabbed Liverpool the
glory in a game where United had most of the possession.
Dirk Kuyt's late goal gave Liverpool a 2-1 win over Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday to
send his team into the Round of 16 of the 2011/12 English FA...
POSSIBLE TEAM V UTDSo its Round Two against the Manchester clubs this
Saturdayafternoon.
We face the Old Enemy Utd at Anfield in an early kick-off 12:45pm.
Liverpool have everything to play for and have home advantage in the highest profile game of the FA
Cup 4th round.
Dalglish would relish a win on Saturday...The FA Cup has brought
Liverpool a massive clash on Saturday as Manchester United make the short trip to Anfield. This is
the first meeting between the two sides since the Suarez and Evra case, here's hoping both sets of
fans act responsibly, focus on the football and provide a fantastic atmosphere.
It has certainly been an eventful week for Liverpool FC and it is far from over just yet as the
club prepares for one of the biggest games of its season when Manchester United takes the pitch at
Anfield in the FA Cup tomorrow afternoon.
On the pitch, Liverpool have already taken care of another Manchester team earlier in the week,
knocking league leaders City out of the Carling Cup 3-2 on aggregate to progress to the final at
Wembley.
Ahead of the it being confirmed that Luis Suarez had racially abused Patrice Evra, Kenny
Dalglish claimed that the guilty party should be punished. That would mean if Evra couldn't prove
he was innocent, he should be punished for making the accusation.
Liverpool players then warmed up in t-shirts in support of Suarez and once Suarez was found
guilty, showed no remorse.
Get In Bellers!...Liverpool booked their place in the League Cup final at
Wembley on Wednesday night after beating Manchester City 3-2 on aggregate. It was a fantastic tie
for the neutral as City took the lead twice at a boisterous Anfield but the home side were the
better team over the two legs and Craig Bellamy's 73rd minute goal made sure the Reds would be
fighting for some silverware next month.
Liverpool will meeting Cardiff City in the final of the 2012 Carling Cup after tying Manchester
City 2-2 at Anfield on Wednesday night. The result sees Kenny Dalglish's team win...
Will Gerrard get on the score sheet again Wednesday
night?...Manchester City travel to Anfield on Wednesday night for the second leg of the Carling
Cup tie between the two sides. With Liverpool holding the slight advantage, the game is perfectly
poised for an exciting clash and the winner is off to Wembley.

We really ought to stop over-analysing these club catalogues. It never makes us happy and what's
the point anyway? They're basically devices to get fans to buy branded merch, and as such, don't
need a shed load of money spent on them.
But still. It's as good a way as any of giving the office snark some exercise.
Liverpool stars Jose Enrique and Sebastian Coates went back to school as they took part in some
fantastic community department led initiatives.
The duo, who were joined by Liverpool FC Ladies skipper Vicky Jones, visited St. Silas Primary
School in Toxteth for the LFC Equality 4 All Scheme, and then Shorefields Community College in
Dingle Vale for the LFC Premier League 4 Sport event.
That's how we all feel mate...If i walked into a club, thinking
and acting like i was better than everybody else, i'd most probably, within an hour and a half or
so, get battered. Which is exactly what happened to Liverpool on Saturday. They walked into
Bolton's club, acting like they were better than them, like the three points were theirs before
they'd kicked a ball and then, they were battered.
Liverpool FC announced plans to open its first ever international football Academy in the Egyptian
capital of Cairo.
The groundbreaking venture, a first for Liverpool FC in the Middle East, was officially unveiled by
Reds legend Ian Rush at a ceremony attended by media from all over the region.
The Academy, when it officially opens early next month, will have a permanent base in Madinaty, a
new 33 million square metre ultra-modern extension city being built within New Cairo, with a
supporting soccer school in nearby Al Rehab designed to help identify the best young footballing
talent in Cairo.
Owen Coyle has left his side with a lot to do as they strive to get
out of the relegation zone...Liverpool make the trip to Bolton on Saturday for another Premier
League fixture. After a disappointing draw against Stoke at Anfield, the Reds will be looking to
put that behind them and take all three points from a struggling Bolton side.

Liverpool FC might be coming to Fenway Park next summer. The Boston Globe reports the Reds are in
talks with Italian club AS Roma about playing a preseason friendly at the historic park in late
June or early July.
"Throughout its 100-year history, Fenway Park has seen some of the best in athletic competition,"
Fenway Sports Management president Sam Kennedy said.
It's a fortress, but there's just too many draws...Liverpool were
held to another draw at Anfield yesterday as they struggled to get anything past Tony Pulis's Stoke
side. The Potters played in their stereotypical way and whilst they would have been extremely happy
with the point Liverpool were left frustrated.
Newcastle striker Demba Ba has slammed the lies and speculation over his future after someone
impersonating his agent claimed that Man United were interested in signing him. The official
Liverpool FC site reported a couple of days ago that Ba was wanted at Anfield, and since then,
speculation surrounding the striker has snowballed.
Gerrard signed a new deal this week...Liverpool face Stoke at
Anfield on Saturday in the Premier League. After a winning performance at the Etihad in the League
Cup, the Reds are brimming with confidence. Interestingly, the last time visitors Stoke lost in the
league was at the Etihad, Pulis's boys are on a bit of a roll.
Captain Fantastic...Liverpool were victorious in the first leg of
the Carling Cup Semi Final with Manchester City last night courtesy of a Steven Gerrard penalty.
Manager Kenny Dalglish used tactics to his advantage as Liverpool began to park the bus in the
second half. Man City could do nothing to get an effort past the Liverpool defence let alone past
Pepe Reina who was left relatively jobless throughout the 90 minutes.
Liverpool has received the full support of their multi-million pound shirt sponsor, Standard
Chartered, in the aftermath of the recent race-row controversies which engulfed the club.
Anti-racism organisations, especially Football Against Racism in Europe's executive director, Piara
Power, claimed Liverpool's reputation and ‘brand' has been severely damaged in the light of the
Luis Suárez affair.
