A lot of you might have noticed the poppy flower adorning attire of managers, broadcasters,
players' shirts etc. to mark Remembrance week. Sportsmail (or, indeed, the Daily
Mail) have led this campaign to get all Premier League clubs to have an embroidered poppy on
club kits. Personally, I didn't have much of a problem with a campaign of this sort.

OK, so the definition of 'tomorrow' was a bit flexible to say the least, but Saturday is here so
let's have a quick look at the games that feature England internationals. Not surprisingly, the
first game of the day is the one with the most England squad members on show: Aston
Villa v Chelsea (Sky Sports 1 now) could feature seven players
including Emile Heskey, who seems to want to leave Villa in order to improve his
chances of making the squad next year; an odd time to start making these comments seeing as though
the transfer window doesn't re-open for a while yet.

Chris Hughton was a happy man tonight as he saw his side destroy a poor and down-hearted Ipswich
Town side, to go back to the top of the Championship. Hughton this was a perfect win for us Chris
has labeled the 4-0 win as the "perfect win" in front of a live TV audience around the world.

to be. But the lasses final was England's first final since the year of Hope Powell's birth. She's
magic she is. It's just a bit pathetic that it wasn't on live TV here.

July 16 marks an anniversary of sorts for Abby Wambach. One year ago tonight she broke her leg
against Brazil, knocking her out of the Olympic Games. In a classic case of "time heals all wounds"
Wambach is back with the USA, in her hometown, in search of a win over Canada and her 100th career
international goal.

Ex-ref and now TV commentator Oscar Roberto Godoi forgot his mic was on in the final momentos of
Copa do Brasil. When goalie Felipe froom Corinthians grabbed the ball and fell, Godoi uttered the
already classic phrase: "can't lay down, son of bitch, or [the ref] will have to fuckin add more
time[to the stoppage time]".
