Major League Soccer's Supplemental Draft is not televised, but only streamed. The teams have retreated from Kansas City to their hometowns as many already opened training camps. This draft is held via conference call and can be followed via MLSSoccer.com's live stream.

We ended up giving a good account of ourselves against Man City but not winning, which was pardonable enough, but embracing the tag of honourable losers is not an act any team should partake in with any relish or frequency. Getting a positive result was the most important thing against Villa, and it gave me perverse pleasure when we managed to do it in spite of being quite poor overall.

Montreal Impact head coach Jesse Marsch is among those who noticed Freddy Adu was left unprotected by the Philadelphia Union ahead of today's Expansion Draft.

The U.S. Women's National Team match against Sweden on Nov. 19 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., will be streamed live exclusively on ussoccer.com. Fans can follow the live stream by logging on to ussoccer.com shortly before kickoff, which is at 7 p.m. MT.

More than 14,000 tickets have been sold for the match, setting a record for the largest crowd to ever watch the U.

The 30th annual WIAA boys soccer state tournament kicks off Thursday with the Division I quarterfinals at Time Warner Cable Field at Milwaukee's Uihlein Soccer Park.

Colorado faces Isidro Metapan tonight in El Salavador at 8pm MDT. The game is delayed until 10:30pm on FOX Soccer Channel but can be watched live on the CONCACAF Champions League site. The supporters groups are gathering at the British Bulldog for this one, presumably to watch the live stream on big screens.

LFC v Wolves – Carroll, Adam, Downing and Henderson return

Kenny Dalglish has gone back to by and large the same Liverpool team that lost last weekend to Spurs for today's home game against Wolves. By night's end, the final of the 2011 U.S. Open Cup will be set.

The Chicago Fire and Richmond Kickers square off in a battle of unlikely semifinal participants who are both looking to maintain their surprising runs (8:30 p.m., live stream on Chicago-Fire.com). The Kickers are the last non-MLS team remaining in the field and will look to beat their third straight MLS opponent, although the Fire enter the match in good form as winners of two straight games.

The way the U.S. Open Cup has played out, there's certainly a David bracket and a Goliath bracket.

The Chicago Fire and Richmond Kickers meet in the former, as both carry underdog stories into their Open Cup semifinal matchup at Toyota Park Tuesday night.

FC Dallas and two-time defending champion Seattle square off in the heavyweight matchup, with the winner undoubtedly being the favorite to capture the championship and automatic berth in the 2012-2013 CONCACAF Champions League that goes along with it.

By Wednesday night, the U.S. Open Cup field will be narrowed down to four teams.

Only one of the eight remaining teams is a non-MLS competitor, as the Richmond Kickers is the last representative of U.S. Soccer's the lower tiers. They'll have the task of doing something no MLS team has been able to do yet -- beat Sporting Kansas City at Livestrong Sporting Park.

Sepp Blatter, the self-proclaimed "captain" of "the FIFA ship," has announced that future World Cup hosts will be determined by a vote of the 208 FIFA member associations as opposed to the 24-man executive committee.

"In the future, the World Cup will be decided by the FIFA Congress," Blatter told the Congress in Zurich.

After last night's Minnesota Stars victory over the Puerto Rico Islanders, assistant coach Carl Craig brought his team over to the Stars supporters (Dark Clouds) to thank the fast-growing supporters section by singing them a song. Craig, who grew up a Geordie supporting his beloved Newcastle United, is well versed in supporters songs and evidently he's been teaching a few of them to his team.

You're unlikely to see a MLS team dominate as much as the Seattle Sounders did on Friday and come away with less to show for it.
