Hot off the presses (so to speak), the Dynamo have announced a 16-game local Spanish language
television broadcast deal with MultiMedios. MultiMedios had local Dynamo coverage from 2006-2009
and returns for the 2012 season to broadcast 16 games, all available in high definition.

HOUSTON, TX (Wednesday, February 8, 2012) -- The Houston Dynamo and Spanish-language television
partner MultiMedios Houston have reached a broadcast agreement for the 2012 season, it was
announced today.

So well done to the SPL on the signing of their new TV deal?
Not exactly.
£16 million a season (that's the figure being widely reported) for 60 live games. 30 games a
season on ESPN and 30 more, Old Firm jamborees included, on Sky.

Being as I barely update this site anymore, here are some more active/useful ones for you to

stuff, but these you may not have heard of.

The year 2011 is set up to be a big one in women's football. The UEFA Women's Champions League
Final will be held at Craven Cottage on May 26. The FIFA Women's World Cup will be held in Germany

Altitude announced Tuesday that it will broadcast a total of 27 Colorado Rapids regular season
games during the 2011 season.
Game coverage on Altitude will begin on Saturday, March 26, as the Rapids take on their
conference rivals, Chivas USA live on Altitude 2. Altitude will be broadcasting 25 live games
including 13 roads matches, as well as an additional two telecasts on instant replay via an
agreement with ESPN, all in high definition.

Australia's FA has volunteered the A-League to be goal line technology guinea pigs, if FIFA finally
decides to begin testing a system in live games at any point in the future. Reports on initial
testing on the setups FIFA is exploring are due to the International Football Association Board
(IFAB, the rules committee) next month.
FoxSoccer.tv is offering a free 7-day trial of their service this week, just in time for the
Round of 16 games in the Champions League as well as several important Premier League and FA Cup
