Kansas City, Mo. – "Ever since I've been a little kid thats all I wanted to do was become a
professional soccer player. So it's a dream come true for me. Today was a great day." Those were
the words of Calum Mallace on Thursday after he was chosen the 20th overall pick in the MLS [...]
2011 was a pretty incredible years in a lot of ways. Here are a few of my impressions:

My beloved Minnesota Stars won the re-inaugural NASL championship! I know most of you don't follow
the 2nd division of soccer in North America, but it was a great year for many of the teams. The
play on the field was arguably the best ever, and when your team goes on one hell of run and
eventually wins it all, there is nothing better!
By Dario Camacho - MIAMI, FL (Nov 11, 2011) US Soccer Players -- When I was a little kid in
Colombia, my father used to take me to a soccer academy. Every Saturday morning I would wake up,
and be whisked away so I could fulfill his dream of his son becoming the next Colombian National
team goalkeeper.
One of the benefits of being a Philadelphia Union season ticket holder, aside from the nifty
card I proudly carry in my wallet and access pre-sales and to special events as well as discounts
on everything from the price of tickets, parking and team merchandise, is the Loyalty Point
Program. What's that, you ask?
Deep within the confines of the Ambedkar Nagar slum in Mumbai, there's a shack, no bigger than a
typical garden shed, that 13-year-old Montesh Bankar is proud to call home
It's a home that houses not just Montesh, one of 2,700 students at the nearby Colaba Municipal
School, but also his mother and father, who have lived there for 20 years, his sister, two brothers
and uncle.
Pretty much all footballers have some sort of charity commitments to fulfill, these days its
stipulated in their playing contract, it is no different for Jack Wilshere but this goes way up and
beyond what you would expect of a footballer.
Jack Marshall is a little kid with a brain tumour, looking in from outside Jack has formed a
very close bond with a child who is basically dying in-front of him.

Have you pendejos seen the Pepsi commercial of David Beckham with hot mamacita Sophia Vergara?
Then they take out video of "Golden Huevos" shooting futbols into trash cans... You see that? Many
say they fake, others say it real. Burrito don't give a chingado either way. Just show Burrito more
of Sophia Vergara!
Chicago Fire Director of Ticket Sales Mike Ernst was kind enough to spend some time with HTIOT
to answer some questions about the success of season ticket sales around the stadium for 2011.
We've already reported on how Section 8 is up to 800 season tickets (and the latest count is up to
922). Non Section-8 season ticket sales are up 100% too.
Every time I see this Disneyland advert I can't help but think of Jack Wilshere.
About 12 seconds into the clip there is a little kid dancing about on the bed wearing blue and
white checkered pyjamas.
My girlfriend can't see it but for some reason he really reminds me of Jacky boy!
With Argentina returning to the United State to play tonight, its only fitting that OTWT takes you
back to the last time the South American giants visited. They played the United State on June 7,
2008, when Messi was just a little kid.
The game ended 0-0 but a rain storm late in the match added to the fun.
#5 - It Appears You've Forgotten Something: Late in the first half of the Everton v.
Birmingham City match on Wednesday, referee Peter Walton awarded a yellow card to Brummies player
Jordan Mutch. Trouble is, while Walton raised his hand and booked Mutch, there was no yellow card
to bee seen as the official had left his cards in the locker room.
I was reading this fantastic article today in the Guardian about young Josh McEachran and I have to
say it has more than got me thinking if young Josh is ready to start week in week out now. The
article quotes Ray Wilkins speaking of Josh and the time he first saw him playing at the age of 15
in a tournament at Cobham.
