What a shocking couple of weeks it had been for the Catalans.
They have torn through all and sundry in La Liga up until their hosting of Almeria at the Camp
Nou on October 4th. They may have come away with the result but it's a sign of the times that
ONLY a 1-0 win for Barcelona is considered a bad performance.

Call we crazy, but I think this Barcelona team isn't that bad. I mean they did lose to a team
earlier in the week that I had honestly never watched play a match in my entire life. But hey
everyone has an off-week. Or in this case an off-weekday. Nobody wants to lose a Champions
League game period.

Aguero in the lineup.

Ah! Maybe if I go to sleep I'll wake up and see this was just a nightmare and we didn't lose to
a team with a name that sounds like a magician. ... When I do wake up I'm just going to play Legos
all day and forget about this. ... It's not working yet. .

Ignoring the rumour and speculation that has been floating around this week, Mark Bowen has been
discussing the return of Robinho and warned that he faces a fight for his place:
"He's a naturally-fit guy who doesn't carry a lot of weight, so once he's back training

Lionel Messi & Company still have to be considered the favorites this season to take home the
hardware. The treble winning club was shut out in one of their two group matches so far, but
the squad has also allowed zero goals in those matches as well.

Cristiano Ronaldo played his part in Real Madrid's 3-0 win over Marseille in the Champions
league last night scoring two of Real's three goals. However the Portuguese international had to be
taken off in the second half with an ankle knock that could see him miss Madrid's match against
high flying Sevilla on Sunday.

It has been claimed many times by many different people, Messi is quite simply "the man" as we
say here in the states. Messi continues to fuel Barca's ridiculous offense and who knows maybe
the club can potentially win the treble two straight seasons even though it had never been done by
any La Liga squad ever before last season.

goleador.

It was honours even at San Siro as Barcelona were held to a goalless draw by Inter Milan in a
match the European champions dominated but failed to crown with a goal their performance
deserved.
The Spanish outfit created numerous chances to break the deadlock, particularly in the first
half, the best of which fell to Zlatan Ibrahimović, who was unable to score against the side he
left in the summer.

You know, as Interlulls go this is right up there with the most tedious we've ever had.
I think in these circumstances it's only right and proper that we try and blame someone for the
fact we're so very very bored. Blatter, Platini, meh. Easy targets. You need to look deeper than
that. The people who created UEFA and FIFA.

This award is arguably the most coveted this year with all the talent overflowing into La Liga.Â
Real Madrid has three potential contenders for the award and Ibrahimovic has to be considered as
well. Ibs, Benzema, and Ronaldo will all likely have great years, but we will give the award to
Christiano Ronaldo simply because the guy doesn't have a flaw in his game.

Barcelona spent last year performing a masterpiece of orchestral harmony; a symphony which would
have even the likes of Beethoven blushing. Much of this was down to having some half-decent
players, with Xavi & Iniesta driving the team forward and Lionel Messi often providing the
jaw-dropping solo. But in the background it was the young virtuoso [.

We all know what this match was, right? The return of Lionel Messi! He's finally got his groove
back after shuffling through two half-matches, and was his amazing self again against the Sounders.
Leo took full charge of the attack, putting so much effort – maybe a bit too much for just a
friendly – and it paid off, as he netted two spectacular goals in the forty-five minutes he
played.

Lionel Messi put on a performance in front of a sold out Qwest Field in Seattle on Wednesday
night. The Argentine had to battle the bad pitch with the grass being overgrown and hindering ball
movement but it took him 20 minutes to get the hang of things. He beat the Seattle keeper Keller in
the 20th with a shot from the corner of the box, just after Keller had denied him just minutes
earlier.

further indications that last season's triple-winning masterclass will not be a one off.
Despite putting out different teams for each half, they dominated Seattle from start to finish in
