I'll start this off by saying that I'm not usually one to perpetuate rumors (and this could
easily be a hoax), but we love discussing the USA's jerseys here at Project 2010, so this seemed
relevant. Over at Big Soccer, we saw some mock ups of what might possibly be the jersey the USA
will wear in South Africa, so we thought we'd pass it along.

Soccer by Ives is reporting that Luis Gil's move to Arsenal has not been completed. Gil has
received interest from other European clubs and is looking to turn his trip to the U-17 World Cup
into a new contract.

News out of DC is that Charlie Davies had successful surgery and remains in the hospital. He has
a long road to recovery ahead of him, and it sounds like he is lucky to be alive. We're just glad
to hear that he's doing okay.
More details from Soccer by Ives:
Davies underwent five hours of surgery on Tuesday to repair the following: a lacerated
bladder, fractures to the tibia and femur in his right leg, facial fractures and a left elbow
fracture.

USA midfielder Michael Bradley is being investigated for allegedly confronting referee Jorge
Larrionda in the tunnel after the USA's 2-0 defeat of Spain last week. Larrionda had sent off
Bradley in the 87th minute of the match.
If true, this sounds like more of the same from the hot-headed midfielder, after a steady stream
of late (and generally unnecessary) yellow cards, and some oddly aggressive words directed at US
press and supporters after the USA's victory over Egypt in the first round of the Confederations
cup.

Project 2010's love affair with Grant Wahl continues:
"Here's what I want to see [at the Gold Cup]: Freddy Adu being handed the keys
to the U.S. midfield, told that he'll play in every game and given the freedom to show what he can
