Luis Suarez has won the Standard Chartered Player of the Season, as voted for by Liverpool fans. The Uruguayan claimed a huge 64 per cent of the votes, clear of captain Steven Gerrard in second and the retiring Jamie Carragher in third. Defender Daniel Agger and January signing Philippe Coutinho finished off the top five.
Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe is hoping to build on the experience of making his senior debut for the club in their 1-0 win over QPR. The 17-year-old played the first 64 minutes of Sunday's match, during which he created the winning goal for Philippe Coutinho. And the player was delighted to have played a part, especially in the final game of defender Jamie Carragher's 17-year Reds career.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he loved the way Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher plays his football. Both Carragher and Ferguson will retire on Sunday and the Scot told LFC TV of his admiration for the defender. "He's absolutely a player I admire," Ferguson said.

Steven Gerrard just recently made his 600th appearance for Liverpool football club. His exploits at the club have seen him help the reds to achieve every piece of silverware in the game except for the English Premier League title.
Fowler trying to finalise a deal to complete Rodgers' 4-3-3?
Haha.
Image: www.lfctour.comSo, Rodgers and Co are currently in North America, last spotted doing
some training at the famous Harvard University. The Reds this year have three matches in their
pre-season tour against Toronto, AS Roma and Tottenham Hotspur.
I've gotten in trouble for posting the actual fixture list before (the only DMCA notice I've
received, in fact), so a link to LFC.tv's official page will have to suffice.
However, I think it's safe to post the fixture list like this:
Craig Bellamy has been fantastic for Liverpool so far this season, and with 9 goals and 7 assists
to his name already, he is arguably the club's most important attacking player right now. Dirk Kuyt
played alongside Bellamy during his first stint at Anfield, and he believes that the Welshman is an
even better player now.
Former Liverpool striker David Johnson has questioned the club's tactical handling of 35m striker
Andy Carroll. Speaking to LFC TV, Johnson - who won the European Cup three times at Anfield -
argued that Liverpool had not done enough over the last year to intergrate Carroll effectively into
the team.
Former Liverpool defender Mark Wright was surprised by some of Kenny Dalglish's decisions during
last night's game with Man City, and after the game, he argued that leaving Andy Carroll up front
on his own was the wrong decision.
Anfield legend John Barnes has slammed Manchester City's poor performance against his old club
earlier tonight, arguing that Liverpool were 'well worth the victory'.Summarising the game for LFC
TV, Barnes observed:"Man City had nothing to offer at all until Nasri came on and they changed the
dynamic of it, but the way they started from the first minutes, they took the game to Man City"They

It doesn't happen often, but when Pepe Reina makes a mistake, it usually ends in an opposition
goal, and his howler at Craven Cottage on Monday night unfortunately handed Fulham victory, and
ended Liverpool's 11 game unbeaten run. Liverpool now have to pick themselves up, and according to
Assistant Manager Steve Clarke, Reina's confidence won't be affected.

Liverpool's lack of mobility and pace in midfield has been cruelly exposed on several ocaisions
this season, most notably against Spurs, Norwich and Swansea. However, against Chelsea last Sunday,
there were no such problems, and former Liverpool defender Gary Gillespie believes that Kenny
Dalglish has now come up with an effective strategy to address the the midfield mobility issue.

Liverpool legend Phil Neal won an astonishing 4 European Cups as a player at Anfield, and he played
alongside some fantastic goalkeepers, including Ray Clemence and Bruce Grobbelaar. Clearly, he
knows a good keeper when he sees one, and Pepe Reina is no exception.
Speaking on LFC TV, Neal paid a glowing tribute to Liverpool's shot-stopper:
"He's the best goalkeeper in the Premiership, and for Spain.

Liverpool's youngsters return to NextGen Series action today, with their quarterfinal matchup
with Tottenham's U19s taking place in London. The brief break in senior squad action allows for
attentions to turn to a competition that, on the whole, has been a terrific advertisement for youth
football on the continent.
Following the un-timely death of former Liverpool title winning defender Gary Ablett (46), we've
decided to track down the where abouts of the Merseyside clubs last title winning squad in
1989-90.
Bruce Grobbelaar (54): Liverpool's most famous keeper currently resides in
Canada and sometimes appears as a pundit on Norwegian TV channel TV-2.
