In an unexpected move, the Galaxy announced today that Brazilian midfielder Juninho, who became a
fan favorite for his ferocious shot and high workrate, will return to the club after all for a
second loan spell. In addition, the club announced that Brazilian central defender Leonardo will

I said a few weeks (or maybe just a couple weeks) back that the biggest thing that the LA Galaxy
needed to replace this winter was Juninho.
Well, what better way to replace him than with him.
The LA Galaxy announced on Tuesday that the club has reached an agreement with Brazilian club
São Paulo FC that will allow midfielder Juninho to return to the Galaxy on loan for the 2012 MLS
season.
The Los Angeles Galaxy's search for Juninho's replacement has ended with Juninho himself.
The Sao Paulo central midfielder is on his way back to Los Angeles for another loan spell with
the Galaxy. Multiple reports out of Brazil say that Sao Paulo manager Emerson Leao had no plans to
use the 23-year-old Juninho, who signed a new three-year deal with Sao Paulo during the MLS
offseason.

Lecce claimed only their fourth Serie A win of the season after a Guillermo Giacomazzi goal ended
Inter Milan's seven-game winning streak on Sunday. Lining-up in a 3-5-2 formation with new signings
Manuele Blasi and Leonardo Miglionico thrown straight into the XI, Lecce produced one of the shocks
of the season so far.
And I'm not talking about Beckham's 2-year $15 million contract.
I'm talking about Omar Gonzalez. Last month Omar pulled out of the national team training camp
for a very exciting loan move to Nurnberg. His very first day there he suffered a season ending
injury at the hands well, feet of his USMNT teammate Timmy Chandler.
Que triste! It isn't a good week for fans of the US Women's Professional Soccer (WPS)
league. The board announced it would be "suspending play" this year due to complex legal issues
involving a former club owner. This matters because some of the world's best female players ply
their trade there including Abby Wambach, Marta, Alex Morgan and
Hope Solo.

After completing his £4.2 million, three-year move to the French capital earlier in the week,
former Chelsea centre-half Alex was officially unveiled by Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des
Princes yesterday.
Question is, what's he so worried about? I've got a sneaking suspicion that Leonardo's other
hand may be straying 'south of the border' behind that there jersey.
Welp, it's done.
Baguettes & Brioche
After months of exile, Alex is once again on the verge of relevance. His protracted transfer
saga has come to a close, with PSG concluding a deal to acquire the defender for 4 million quid.
After turning down the chance to ply his trade at QPR, that massive club, he elected to reunite
with former gaffer Carlo Ancelotti and take his talents to the Champs Elysses.
Juventus were crowned Serie A Winter Champions after one of their most controlled performances of
the season on Saturday night. Atalanta have proven to be tough opposition for any team, especially
at home where their only defeat prior was to champions Milan. But, the Bianconeri overcame early
frustration to eventually overcome the Nerazzurri with relative ease.
Queens Park Rangers apparently can't afford Alex. Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, certainly can.
I guess that solves that then, in my skewed mind at least.
A reunion?
The protracted transfer of Alex away from Chelsea drags on.
News today arrives in two parts.
La Selección Mexicana femenil consiguió su pase a Semifinales del Preolímpico que se juega en
Vancouver, Canadá, tras golear a República Dominicana 7-0.
Puppo's Contract Details
River Plate Sporting Director Rumbo Leonardo gave an interview which included discussion of the
contract of Federico Puppo, the Chicago Fire's new forward. River Plate owned Puppo's contract and
had loaned him to leaque rival Danube FC for the past two months.
According to Leonardo, Puppo's new contract runs for three years.

PSG is splashing some serious cash this transfer window. They are on the verge of signing
Alexandre Pato for €35 million from Milan for a three year deal. Leonardo is
also milking his popularity with Brazilian players to bring Kaka on board and is
offering €25 million for the services of the Real midfielder.

Everybody's favourite Bullet Without Borders man, Maradona,
has questioned Leonardo's role at Paris Saint-Germain, where he is currently the club's sporting
director alongside coach Carlo Ancelotti. Maradona painfully complained that he
doesn't understand this set-up which clearly translates to : "Why is Leonardo spared from those

Out of Contract LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham will not be joining French side PSG after
all. Club President Nasser Al Khelaifi revealed that the deal had been called off.
Beckham who had been linked with the Paris based club since late last year seems set to re-sign
with Galaxy.
Speculation that David Beckham has made a huge u-turn to sign a new deal with LA Galaxy is mounting
today, following reports that he has turned down a switch to big spending Paris St. Germain in
France. For a number of weeks now, Beckham has been linked with a return to European football with
the club that has just appointed former Chelsea boss, Carlo Ancelotti as its new manager.
After much posturing, debate and media assumptions it seems David Beckham has made the decision not
to move to Paris-St. Germain for 2012. The club's sporting direct Leonardo has told the media that
the club's pursuit of the star is "finished".
Leonardo was the manager of AC Milan during Beckham's loan there in 2010.

After months of speculation, questions and premature reports, it appears that the final twist in
the David Beckham offseason saga has the player staying right where he is.
According to multiple reports from France and England, Beckham is not going to be signing with
Paris-St. Germain after all, and a return to the Los Angeles Galaxy seems imminent.
WEEKEND WRAP
Carlo Ancelotti had been jobless for the last seven months, watching reruns of
'The Sopranos' and your aunt's episodes of Coronation Street up until yesterday. Ouiiiii, ce
n'est pas une blague... Paris Saint Germain officially decided he was the man
to take over the reins of former coach Antoine Kombouaré, who failed to transform
the Qatari-owned club into the new Ligue 1 Galácticos!

Most reports have been making David Beckham's signing with Paris-St. Germain a matter of "when"
and not "if," but PSG sporting director Leonardo offered a far less convincing take on the
potential signing on Friday.
At a press conference where the club introduced Carlo Ancelotti as the club's new coach,
Leonardo told reporters that Beckham's move to Paris was "not done yet, and it might not
happen.
In a couple of days, the winter transfer window will open amid a flurry of activity. With most
clubs seeking to strengthen their squads for the remaining half of the season, a few will be
looking to offload their most prized players.
It is no secret that Tevez is on his way out of Manchester City, however another very shocking
report is that of Brazilian midfielder Kaka.
The winter break is now upon us which means no Serie A action until January 8. What will we do now?
However, during this time there is at least one enticing encounter to look forward to; the 2012
Dubai Football Challenge which will see Milan take on Paris Saint-Germain. It is a match that will

New developments are emerging in the Carlos Tevez transfer debacle after PSG sporting director
Leonardo confirms that the club are interested in bringing the Argentine to France.
Truth be said, PSG is the last club Tevez would sign and i don't mean this disrespectfully, but

land his signature.

According to Al-Jazeera, Paris Saint-Germain have lined up former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez
as the replacement for coach Antoine Kombouare. Benitez has been without a club since being fired
by Inter Milan almost a year ago.
The TV news channel reported that after lengthy discussions between board members at the Parc
des Princes over the weekend, they have opted to cancel Kombouare's contract.
