If you loved Phil Jackson's last book (who didn't), I have good news for you: The legendary
coach is coming out with a new book. Entitled "Eleven Rings," the book will likely give updates
since his last book was written in 2004. Since then, Jackson's legacy grew even more as he added a
pair of championships with the Los Angeles Lakers.

We really ought to stop over-analysing these club catalogues. It never makes us happy and what's
the point anyway? They're basically devices to get fans to buy branded merch, and as such, don't
need a shed load of money spent on them.
But still. It's as good a way as any of giving the office snark some exercise.

LOS ANGELES -- David Beckham has always been a vital part of AEG president Tim Leiweke's plans
for the Los Angeles Galaxy. Now as Beckham prepares for his second stint with the club, Leiweke is
considering the legacy that he will leave on his team.

The Welsh FA have just confirmed that Chris Coleman will be the new manager of the Welsh
national side, following the tragic death of former incumbent Gary Speed in November of last
year.
Chief executive Jonathan Ford announced the decision a short while ago, admitted it had
understandably been a tough few months for the FAW:
"This has been a very difficult process.
In British soccer, the number nine takes on extra significance for an elite attacking player.
Historically a center forward, at certain clubs the number has a legacy all its own. Previous
Everton #9 Duncan Ferguson had a tattoo of the number and it's normally associated with the player
most representative of the club.
When the chips are down and the Miami Heat need a bucket, who do they go to? That would be NBA
champion and Finals MVP Dwyane Wade. For the second time this season, Wade delivered the
game-winner for the Miami Heat.
This time, Wade's shot downed the Minnesota Timberwolves by a final score of 103-101.

The Portland Timbers officially revealed their third kit that honors the legacy of the club from
previous eras. It also appears that the team could finally be ready to announce some upcoming
player signings in preparation for their home opener in March. The Timbers did learn that it will
be the Philadelphia Union that will be visiting the Rose City to play the Timbers on March 12 on
ESPN2.
Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva was the clear man of the match against Manchester City on Sunday,
and former Liverpool players are lining up to acknowledge his increasing influence on the team.
I wrote last week about how impressive Lucas's passing had become over the last couple of years,
and against Man City it was more of the same: quick, incisive, positive passing, and it was a joy
to watch.

Following the 25th anniversary celebrations last week, Gill admitted today that he dreads the
day that he will have to replace Sir Alex Ferguson and had said the search for a successor has yet
to begin.
One thing is clear, that the new manager, whenever he may come, will have to follow Sir Alex
Ferguson in running the club the Manchester United way
"We are a great club whose values go back in history to our heritage to the 50s and 60s and
the last 25 years with Alex.
I don't know where I'll rank in headline writing when my story is written, but I've got a three
topics I want to cover today. Recruiting, Heath and finally, his final regular season home game
scheduled for this Sunday. If you want to understand the first two, you owe it to yourself to
attend the "Legacy Game" between Missouri State and SIUE at 6:00 pm Sunday.
By J Hutcherson - WASHINGTON, DC (Oct 20, 2011) US Soccer Players -- Though some in Europe are
treating the two-day FIFA executive committee meetings as Blatter's chance to make sure he's seen
as a leader rather than a preservationist, that's very Eurocentric thinking. Blatter's legacy was
cemented when he pushed for the World Cup to be played in Africa, and that's going to be his big
picture moment looking back years from now.
Championship giants West Ham United have confirmed they are still very much interested in a move to
the London Olympic Stadium following the completion of next year's Olympic Games. The Hammers had
originally won the bid to take over the ground as part of the legacy of the games, but with legal
challenges from London rivals Spurs and Leyton Orient looming it was instead decided that the
stadium would remain in public ownership as a valued asset and be leased out instead - with some
circles of the British press reportedly claiming the rental of the ground would cost a fee in the
region of £2 million per year.

Manchester United's record breaking coach Sir Alex Ferguson plans to remain in charge of the Red
Devils for four more years. This is good news to all Man United fans but terrible news if you have
a strong disliking toward the Manchester outfit.
Coming to think about it, Manchester United remains one of the strongest teams in the league
because of its long history with the same coach.

Walter Payton is an icon in the football world. Before his death in 1999, Payton was one of the
most loved football players of all-time. After his death, the love has continued to pour.
However, a new book is claiming a darker side to Walter Payton. In "Sweetness: The Enigmatic
Life of Walter Payton", author Jeff Pearlman writes that Walter Payton talked about suicide often,
abused pain medication and had a dysfunctional family life.

When I woke up this morning I was in a state of immediate excitement. I felt a lot like how a
kid feels on Christmas eve (or a Hanukkah night for Jews like myself) - giddy, wide eyed and
energetic.
Unfortunately, Rutgers' mail office is evil incarnate and kept me from playing FIFA '12 until my

Kenny Dalglish believes Luis Suarez should be able to carve out a Liverpool legacy of his own,
rather than forever be compared to the Anfield king.
With the Scot's famous No.7 shirt now adorned by Suarez, comparisons between the pair were
inevitable, but Dalglish wants to allow the Uruguayan the opportunity to be his own man.

So the dust has settled on a couple of dreadful Arsenal away results, and equally dreadful
defensive displays. Obviously, I'm talking about the 8-2 and 4-3 defeats. There have been a lot of
people coming out of the woodwork in recent days, using these results as ammunition to have a pop
at the manager and also to give their opinion on the direction this club needs to go.
What is worse? Admitting that the professional players lack the level of focus and application
to apply simple football theory of defending, or implementing a new defensive routine with a back
four formation that is itself new in compostion from game to game? Which ever the case, what I have
long predicted in countless blogs, is that Arsene Wenger's legacy will be permanently damaged if he
fails to take account of a few basic home truths.

Freddie Garcia, Freddy Garcia, and a befitting legacy
Two things our land can never have enough of: good kids like Freddy Garcia, and proper places to
enjoy our game.
Indulge me while I tell you quick story about both.
I played a Sunday league game about 10 or so years ago.
Samuel Eto'o may have only been an Inter player for two seasons, but the legacy he leaves behind
will never be forgotten. "The Lion King" came to Inter in the summer of 2009, as somewhat of an
afterthought in the blockbuster Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Barcelona deal. Many people questioned how
the Nerazzurri were going to survive without the talent and skill of the Swede and if Eto'o would
be able to.
New Anzhi Makhachkala signing Samuel Eto'o has made an instant impact for his new club by
scoring the equalizer in a 1-1 draw away at FK Rostov.
The signing of the Cameroonian international has raised many eyebrows throughout the world of
football especially given the huge wages that he is reported to be earning, something akin to 20
million euros a year.

If they did the club can set a standard of commitment of direction for all coaches - and this could
make huge changes to all player development at your local club.
Why Cesc's silence is danger of ruining his Arsenal legacy
The sound from Barcelona has been deafening. The response from Cesc Fabregas, silence. No wonder
many Arsenal fans have now turned on the Gunners skipper, looking for him to show a modicum of
commitment to the Emirates cause.
How Chelsea kid can help Capello find redemption and why Brazil is the true home of

reasons.
