World Cup qualifying is in the rear-view mirror, and for the Americans Abroad that means it is
time to get back into club soccer.
After missing international duty due to an ankle injury, Tim Howard should be healthy enough to

about being a Liverpool supporter, he has taken an interest in the Reds. He asks me tons of
questions whenever we work together, everything from "What's a Scouser?

"We lived the dream"
Is what former Leeds United chairman Peter Ridsdale now rather infamously stated as his Elland
Road empire crumbled around him. We've all heard the stories of the expensive pet fish in the
office and Seth Johnson's ridiculous wages but the long and short of it was that Leeds borrowed too
much money and built up too high a wage bill, with no guarantee of funds to service the debt let
alone pay it off.

After a disappointing start to the season that sees them sitting above the League One relegation
places on goal difference, Brighton & Hove Albion have parted company with their manager, Russell
Slade. This in itself isn't much of a surprise, but it does provide us with a reasonable case study
on the psychology of football supporters and the pressure under which clubs find themselves.

With Rangers getting closer and closer to almost becoming Leeds United, maybe its time for both
Celtic and Rangers to run away from the Scottish Premier League and head for greener pastures.
Rangers 's club's bankers Lloyds are owed ÂŁ30million by the end of the campaign. With a TV
contract that is nothing to celebrate the only way that they maybe be able to meet the payment is
to sell half of the first team.

of him.

The Carling Cup, according to Rafael BenĂtez, is "a special competition". But it is a competition
that has often demonstrated the paucity of Liverpool's resources beneath first-team level in recent
years, whether that means home-grown youngsters, imported teenagers or disenchanted senior
professionals who are stagnating and in desperate need of a run-out.

The loss of Setanta Sports during the summer didn't only have knock on effects for the Premier
League, although that was the story which hogged the headlines at the time. The Scottish Premier

the new seasons without any television coverage at all and the FA were left seeking new partners
