Manchester United and England footballer Brian Greenhoff died today, aged 60.
Greenhoff made 221 appearances for Manchester United from 1970-79 as a midfielder and centre-back. He was capped 18 times for England, and helped United win the 1977 FA Cup. After leaving United, Greenhoff played for Leeds United from 1979-82.
It has been confirmed that former Manchester United player, Brian Greenhoff, has sadly passed away at his home in Rochdale. Police were called to Brian's address this morning following reports of a sudden death as a matter of procedure and the case has now been passed to the coroner. He was only 60-years-old.
Which player has the best win percentage at every Premier League club that has played in the top flight of England from 1992-2013?
Some of the findings may surprise you. Out of the 45 teams who have played in the Premier League since it was founded, there are memorable names from the history of British football with greats such as Alan Shearer.
There used to a time when I would have to watch the Premier League on an illegal box at my then girlfriend's, current wife, parents house. Fast forward 15 years and you can watch a variety of different leagues on your tv. This week that is what I did.
Roberto Mancini says Manchester City are still in with a chance of retaining their Premier League title if Sergio Aguero plays like he did against Leeds United in yesterday's FA Cup clash. The Italian gave a downbeat interview following last weekend's defeat to Southampton in which he all but conceded the title to rivals [.

After the dust settled from the sixth round draw of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, the dream final between Manchester United and Manchester City was still intact.
City came out of the fifth round victorious as they dumped Championship side Leeds United out of the prestigious tournament.

Rivals Manchester United have extended a whacking gap of 12 points with them at the top of the Premier League table after City suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat at the hands of Southampton in their last match and the pressure is steadily mounting on the Italian's shoulder.
At LAST it's here! The final Glory Glory Leeds Show of the season! Recorded on my new equipment, by trial and error!Well worth waiting for as there are some superb emails this week to the show, another WHTBSIST from Nick, news of deadwood shipped out and new contracts signed.
OK, we lost at Brum, but we are safe! Season over, with no chance of relegation or promotion. Still got lots of LUFC news this week tho plus listener emails and another excellent WHTBSIST from Nick! MaccyD's post game interview after the Brum game is worth a listen too. I love the feeling he has when he talks about our club!
Mega long show this week, with our club now nearer to relegation than promotion.Twiggster talks positive though, as the reason for that situation has now left Leeds United. Warnock has GONE!Hallelujah and hang the flags out! This week's show has your host's thoughts about that, wonderful U.
So after the Cup win and the transfer mayhem on the last show, back to Championship reality this week.An undeserved defeat at home to Baadiff, where we played possibly the best football we have done this season.Fan at the game report from that game on this weeks show and reviews of Leeds Ladies and the U.
There's no early kick-off in the Premier League today (first match is at 10am ET), so if you're up early and want to see some quality soccer coverage and you have beIN SPORT, you're in for a treat.
Kicking off at 7:45am ET are three matches of monumental consequences:
Hull City vs Cardiff City — a win for Hull will be enough to see them promoted to the Premier League; Cardiff are already promoted,
Watford vs Leeds United — if Hull slip up against Cardiff, Watford has a golden opportunity to get promoted instead with a win; a draw also could be good enough depending on the score of the Hull game,
Crystal Palace vs Peterborough — Peterborough need to get points to avoid relegation, while Palace are hoping to cement a play-off place.
Leeds United have unveiled their new home kit for the 2013-14 season.
With new manager Brian McDermott now in charge of Leeds, the team will be wearing a new kit next season designed by Macron, an Italian company. The design is quite a different one for the Elland Road club, with a blue vertical line running down the front of the jersey.
It's easy to forget how, in the days between the formation and dissolution of the Sky Four, the Premier League was largely filled with utter dross. Stern John and Collins John would count themselves as solid, dependable Premier League strikers and Allardyceball was the dominant religion.
Leeds United are to begin their search for a new manager after current boss, Neil Warnock, confirmed at the weekend that he won't stay at the club unless they achieve a miraculous promotion to the Premier League. With Leeds currently languishing 10th in the Championship and without a win in four games, the chances of them clawing back a seven-point deficit over sixth-place Leicester to make the playoffs is highly unlikely and the new owners are already looking at next season for the big push.
The world has another homosexual professional footballer.
Robbie Rogers, the former U.S.A. international and Leeds player has revealed via a well-written statement on his website, that he is gay and that he is now to step away from the game to discover his identity outside of soccer. I wish him all the luck in the world.
The world has another homosexual professional footballer. Robbie Rogers, the former U.S.A. international and Leeds player has revealed via a well-written statement on his website, that he is gay and that he is now to step away from the game ......
Robbie Rogers has stepped out of the closet. The world has sung his praises. Retweets. Blog posts. Columns. Articles. Everybody is on cloud nine...except for me. I'm all for Rogers' honesty with himself, his family, his friends, and others. However, the announcement was not all roses.
Robbie Rogers, former U.S. Men's National Team, Leeds United and Columbus Crew midfielder, has announced that he is gay and that he is quitting professional soccer. He is a player the the Fire have the rights to thanks to the Dominic Oduro/Dilly Duka trade earlier this month.
Everyone here at Hot Time In Old Town is happy for Robbie.
Today, on his website, U.S. Soccer player Robbie Rogers acknowledged on his website that he is gay and that he was stepping away from the sport of soccer.
Rogers, who is only 25, has played for Heerenveen, Columbus Crew, Stevenage, and Leeds United, as well as earning 18 caps with the United States National Team.
Robbie Rogers is retiring from the game of soccer at the age of 25. Not because of an injury, but because he is embarking on a new chapter in his life after developing the courage to reveal that he is gay.
The former U.S. National Team player and Columbus Crew midfielder came out in a letter written on his website.
As we all know by now, the Chicago Fire "officially" announced the trade that sends Dominic Oduro to the Columbus Crew in exchange for midfielder Dilly Duka, a move that had been rumored for a few weeks now. An interesting move by itself. But the deal also includes sending the Crew's first right of refusal for former midfielder Robbie Rogers, who was recently released by English Championship side Leeds United.
Now that the Dominic Oduro for Dilly Duka (and Robbie Rogers) deal has been made official we can take a look at what the acquisitions mean for the Fire's roster and depth chart heading into the 2013 season. Duka is likely to get a good shot at earning first eleven minutes on the left side of midfield in competition with Alex but Rogers is the wildcard here.
The word 'adorable' has become more oversaturated on the internet than Jutin Bieber (Marcos Reus is a big fan, by the by) and Psy combined into one, so it's best to keep its use limited to times where no other word will do.
This video is kind of adorable.
The mascots from Leeds are seen in the tunnel after coming off the pitch as Leeds took on Manchester City, and they are beaming like little, well, the little kids that they are.

Brentford and Leeds United will be looking to catch the FA Cup upset fever ahead of their fifth round matches on Sunday against Premier League powerhouses.
A day after Oldham made Arsenal the latest FA Cup upset victim, Brentford will travel to London to face defending tournament champions Chelsea, while Leeds United heads to the Etihad to take on Manchester City.

On January 27th, Leeds United defeated Tottenham Hotspur who featured a strong line-up that included Gareth Bale by a single goal and qualified for the fifth round of the FA Cup.
On Sunday, the Whites will face defending Premier League champions Manchester City, whose only reasonable aim this season is to win the FA Cup after an early elimination from both the Champions League and League Cup, and with Manchester United over ten points ahead at the top of the league table.
To "get fans in the mood" on matchdays, Roberto Mancini, Vincent Kompany, Joe Hart and James Milner have all recorded tram announcements that will be used on Metrolink's new east Manchester line connecting Etihad Stadium with the center of the city.
From the Telegraph:
They will be heard for the first time on Sunday, when Manchester City take on Leeds United in the FA Cup.
1. Blackburn have finally found a Kean capable of competing against Premier League opposition. 2. Oldham striker Matt Smith either loves the FA Cup or hates Merseyside. It's hard to tell at this stage. 3. Smith and his Latics team-mates can be grateful that goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis failed with his attempt at a blatant handball [.
The managerial merry-go-round has gone in to overdrive recently with no fewer than 11 managers across all four English divisions leaving their positions in the past five weeks. Nine of those were sacked whilst two resigned to fill vacancies elsewhere, making it a total of 13 clubs who have been searching for a new manager [.
Karma eh, what a b*tch. It has been revealed that Leeds United's El Hadji Diouf has been beaten up by men in Senegal after a drunken argument in a bar. The forward is reported to have been abusing other drinkers at the bar when a few finally lost patience and punched Diouf several times when [...]
Michael Keane joined Leicester City on loan at the beginning of November with the idea that he would just stay there for a month. The club kept on extending his contract though, meaning he stayed all season and played close to 30 games.
Two months ago, Keane scored an injury time goal against Leeds United to secure a point for his club.
Shortly after getting the sack from Leeds United, football manager Brian Clough sat down with TV presenter David Frost for an exclusive interview. I've never seen this one before today, but it's a must-see for anyone who has any respect...

Huge respect this weekend should go to American international footballer Robbie Rogers. The former Leeds United and Stevenage player yesterday used his blog to reveal that he was gay and would be stepping away from the game: "For the past 25 years I have been afraid to show who I really was because of fear.

Two supporters decided to tastefully consummate the transfer against the wrought iron gates of [.
