The idiot who ran onto the pitch and punched Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Chris Kirkland might have inadvertently done Leeds a favour. The attack was the main talking point after Friday night's Championship clash between the Yorkshire rivals. Had the assault not taken place, a bit more attention might have been given to Leeds fans glorifying [.
On Friday night Sheffield Wednesday met Leeds United in a fiery Yorkshire derby full of ferocious tackles and debatable refereeing decisions. Everything that is good about occasions like this was ruined by one Leeds fan who slapped an unsuspecting Chris Kirkland across the face.
Nowadays, in the English game as soon as the media get one sniff of racist abuse or the actions of violent fans, everything is blown out of proportion and the press hit the panic button.
Grim scenes in the Championship last night, where Sheffield Wednesday 'keeper Chris Kirkland was attacked in his goalmouth when a grunting Leeds fan escaped from his enclosure following Michael Tonge's 77th-minute equaliser and shoved the former Liverpool stopper to the floor.
After the totally frenetic show last time, Twiggs takes it easy this week! Mostly concerned
about two Leeds fans in serious need of cheering up. Two games played this past week to report on
and thankfully some listener emails fill out this weeks GGL. One email offering a possible new
feature for the coming season's shows!
Twiggster has been scrattin around for topics to present on this weeks show! No takeover news,
no signings. Nothing! But yet again, Twiggs has managed to bring you a full Glory Glory Leeds
Show!
Leeds Ladies news, another youth player signs professional...HEY! A new secondary shirt sponsor!
How exciting is this weeks show?
Speculation abounds in the Leeds fans' media this week, with the announcement we are in talks
with a potential investor. Twiggster is hopeful of a take over, but not counting chickens just yet
and gives his thoughts about the situation on this weeks show. In other news, a Leeds signing
confirmed and an interview with the player in question can be heard!
Eggs-asperating Easter for Leeds fans! Twiggster is totally "choc-ed" by the two defeats. Nailed
on we won't get to the play offs now, but your host is hoping for an end of season resurrection,
despite being very cross....
Enough of the puns! Leeds Ladies and the U.18′s bring us the only joys this week but the
listeners' emails were very inspiring this week and Twiggster rants about Bates, the players and
just about everything to do with our club as well as including player and manager interviews.
The Mathematically Impossible Glory Glory Leeds Show! Please listen to find out why! Following
the disasters of the W.Ham and Forest games, a remarkably upbeat show this week! Twiggster takes
the positives (and the mickey) out of recent events and looks forward to the Millwall game. Some
excellent listener emails cheer the show up and make your host laugh!
On this weeks show, Twiggster brings you mixed match results. A disappointing draw at Portsmouth
for the first team, but excellent wins for the reserves, U.18′s and the LUFC Ladies! Manager and
player comments and of course first hand reviews from all those games. A new player at Leeds United
to mention.
A ballboy at last night's match between Arsenal and Leeds positioned himself in a rather
unfortunate spot in front of this Nike advert. Shades of the Thomas Cook advert at Manchester City.

Nobody enjoys losing, especially a paying customer at a sporting event. A sense of time wasted
sets in, a stomach in knots thinking about what could have been, and in extreme cases of stupidity
the need to commit an act of violence. Sometimes defiance substitutes nicely for flailing fists and
in the case of one lonely Millwall supporter, standing up to the thousands of traveling Leeds
fans was an acceptable alternative.
Being forced to sell his captain during the January and consequently losing matches heavily did for
Simon Grayson. While OTP feels slightly sorry for the recently sacked Grayson, we won't be dwelling
on his departure for too long because there are some exciting prospects in contention to be the new
boss at Elland [.
