Have you ever seen anything like it?
One of the worst first half performances in memory. Newcastle were very impressive, well
drilled, pressurising perfectly, timing their confrontations and ganging up on our players
relentlessly. We couldn't keep the ball. They could, spraying it around and running us
ragged.

The FA will not be taking any action against Glen Johnson for his challenge on Joleon Lescott in
the first leg of Wednesday night's League Cup semi-final.
After all the controversy that surrounded Vincent Kompany's red card against Manchester United for
a two-footed tackle on Nani in the FA Cup third round last weekend, there have been calls for
Johnson to face severe punishment.
Manchester City slumped to their second home defeat in four days as Steven Gerrard's early penalty
moved Liverpool to within 90 minutes of their first Wembley appearance since 1996.
Lacking key men, including skipper Vincent Kompany who sat forlornly in the stands as he began a
four-match ban, and drained by the energy exerted at having to play for 78 minutes with 10 men
against Manchester United at the weekend, City were a shadow of their usual selves.

John Terry and controversy are old friends at this stage, aren't they? His Chelsea boss Andre
Villas-Boas has now denied that his captain got booked on purpose against Wolves at the
weekend.
JT was on four bookings and therefore just one away from suspension, when he was cautioned by
referee Lee Mason for taking way too long over a throw late on in the game.

Manchester United 1-0 Sunderland Premier League 5th November 2011
United's 1-0 victory against Sunderland won't go down as one of their better performances during
Fergie's 25-year reign, as the home side failed to match the occasion with a big performance.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently contended that Luis Suarez 'dives all over the
place', and this was followed up by Paul Scharner hinting that Suarez dived to win a penalty in
Liverpool's game with West Brom. With increased media attention on Suarez as a result of these
accusations, Liverpool legend Ray Houghton worries that it might start to affect the judgment of
referees.
Thomas Ref made mistake
Jerome Thomas claims Lee Mason was wrong to award Liverpool an early penalty in West Brom's 2-0
defeat.

West Brom midfielder Paul Scharner has lambasted Luis Suarez for the "nice dive" that earned the
penalty to set Liverpool on the way to a 2-0 victory at the Hawthorns.
Suarez was adjudged to have been fouled by Jerome Thomas inside the area after just nine minutes of
Saturday's Premier League clash and Charlie Adam stepped up to score from the spot.

West Bromwich Albion 0-2 Liverpool Premier League 29th October
Liverpool were by far the better side at the Hawthorns on Saturday with goals from Charlie Adam
(via the penalty spot) and Andy Carroll sealing a comfortable win for the visitors.
Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez showed more signs of forging a potent strike partnership as Liverpool
strolled to victory over West Brom - and former Reds manager Roy Hodgson - at the Hawthorns.
A Charlie Adam penalty and Carroll's third goal of the campaign confirmed Liverpool's superiority
as they climbed into fifth spot in the Barclays Premier League.
West Bromwich Albion 0-2 Liverpool: Carroll on Target in Reds' stroll
Goals from Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll gave Liverpool a comfortable 2-0 win at the Hawthorns.
This time last year, West Brom manager Roy Hodgson was in the middle of a torrid six month spell as
Liverpool manager.
Goals:Adam 9' (pen)
Carroll 45+1'
A thorough, comfortable win, never in doubt after notching a second on the stroke of halftime, a
clean sheet easily kept away from Anfield.
Had Liverpool scored so early in their last league match, converting just one of the chances from
their fast start, we could have seen a similar result.
West Bromwich Albion 0-2 Liverpool | Premier League Match report
He is a magnet to controversy and probably always will be but it is impossible not to admire
Luis Suárez's mercurial talent. The Uruguayan took centre stage here in an accomplished Liverpool
performance that proved there is life after Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
Video highlights and reaction
So, three goals, three points, another masterclass by Robin van Persie and Stoke go home
unhappy. All in all that was a pretty satisfactory day at the office, even if it did look a little
bit unsure at certain times.
Arsene Wenger rested Robin van Persie, a decision arrived at after consultation between player
and manager apparently, meaning Marouane Chamakh started a league game for the first time since the
final game of last season, when everything was academic.
Only person to be involved in all the goals
Crisis talk? What crisis talk? Slowly but surely we're inching up the table. Just when I was
getting used to read about Arsenal being involve in relegation six pointers battle. Too bad our win
over Stoke yesterday would be overshadowed by the incredible result in the Manchester derby.

Neil Warnock admitted that he's 'ever-so proud' of his R's charges, who twice came from behind

On April 5th, the FA charged Wayne Rooney with breaking Law 12 after he swore following scoring
his third goal.
A Sky Sports camera came on to the field of play and Rooney shouted "what? Fucking what?" at
it.
"The FA has today charged Manchester United's Wayne Rooney for the use of offensive,
insulting and/or abusive language relating to an incident during his side's fixture with West Ham
United," the FA statement read.
Dear Scott,
Thank you for contacting the Football Association.
The FA takes a dim view of any foul and abusive language used at football matches. The clear
distinction to be made in the Wayne Rooney case is that the language used was directed specifically
at a television camera lens, whilst clearly audible to the viewing public.
It was just what the doctor ordered. A trip to the seaside to pick up an ailing team. Today's
3-1 win at Blackpool, pulled the Gunners back into the title race, 7 point back with 7 games to
go.
By the time Man United travel to Newcastle on 19 April, Arsenal will have played Liverpool at
home, so the Gunners could be only four points back by this time next week.

RoM is launching "Swear Watch" this weekend following the two match ban for Wayne Rooney. He was
charged with using "offensive, insulting and/or abusive language" in our 4-2 win over West Ham.
Referee Lee Mason did not hear the swearing and did not see the swearing but in his match report
claimed he would have sent Rooney off if he had.
"I don't know if you can use the word fair any longer," said Ferguson, recalling that his use of
the word at Chelsea last month landed him with a five-game touchline ban. We put an appeal in. The
lad has apologised for swearing but I don't think we expected to get a result. It will bring us
together.
