American basketball player LeBron James has donated $10,000 to the Liverpool FC Foundation during his first visit to the club.
LeBron, who plays for Miami Heat, made the donation at St Margaret's CoE School in Liverpool which is Liverpool FC's Respect 4 All centre, used for football coaching sessions with local children with severe physical or mental disabilities.

For the first time since he became a minority owner of Liverpool Football Club in the English Premier League in April, LeBron James will be in the crowd this weekend at iconic Anfield to see the team play.
The Miami Heat forward tweeted Thursday that he had arrived in England and later confirmed to ESPN.

The NBA lockout is getting serious. According to multiple sources, David Stern and Dwyane Wade got in a fight during Friday's negotiating session. Wade was apparently felt disrespected after Stern pointed at him and responded by yelling at the commissioner.

After the incident, Wade and other players were going to leave the negotiations.

This time of year, we're used to watching NBA preseason action. However, with the NBA lockout putting things on hold, we'll have to settle for exhibition games of another sort.
