Wycombe Wanderers have announced Liverpool have signed highly-rated teenager Jordan Ibe.
As revealed by skysports.com earlier this month, Liverpool has won the race for the 16-year-old,
fending off interest from a number of their Premier League rivals.
Ibe became Wycombe's youngest-ever goalscorer when he netted against Sheffield Wednesday in October
aged 15 years and 325 days on his first start for the club.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is preparing to step up his pursuit of a new midfielder to replace
the injured Lucas who is out for the rest of the season and has set his sights on Tottenham's
Sandro, according to reports in The Metro.
Sandro signed for Tottenham from Internacional in 2010 for £8million, however the Brazilian
international has failed to nail down a regular first-team place and since the arrival of Scott
Parker has found himself even further down the pecking order at White Hart Lane.
That 2011 should have seen a trickle of new ideas on the subject of how to reorganise English
and European club football should come as no great surprise. Last year saw an unprecedented
undermining in the authority of FIFA, following the flawed process for determining the hosts of the
2018 and 2022 World Cups, whilst UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations were always likely to cause
a fluster in England, which long ago submitted its professional game to the rigours and inherent
inequalities of neo-capitalism with such gusto that it sometimes feels as if an accountancy
qualification is of almost as much use to a supporter as a working knowledge of the office law.

With so much grief given out to our esteemed manager during pre season, and with another
transfer window just around the corner, I thought it might be a good time to see how Wenger's
apparent 'panic buys' have compared to the big money signings of some of our closest league
rivals.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is preparing to make a cut-price deal for Lyon left back Aly
Cissokho once the January transfer window opens for business, according to reports in the Daily
Mirror.
The French international is versatile and can operate in the midfield as well as in the full back
position.
Steven Gerrard believes a move to Liverpool has provided Stewart Downing with the perfect stage on

bid to beat Premier League rivals Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United to his signature.
The 15-year-old shot to fame with a superb goal against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, in his
first professional start, following a series of impressive substitute appearances.
This is not the first time Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is defending himself against claims of
forcing out players he dislikes. After taking over from Frank Rijkaard in 2008, Guardiola made it
very clear that Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Deco would no longer be part of his plans as coach of the
Catalans.
It seems Werder Bremen midfielder Marko Marin has become one of the most wanted players in Europe
after it was revealed that Liverpool are the latest club keeping tabs on the diminutive
playmaker.

and now Liverpool have emerged as candidates to sign Marin.

Liverpool TV plans to be rejected by Premier League rivals
Liverpool appear destined to fail in their bid to secure a groundbreaking overseas TV deal. The
Reds have admitted they are considering breaking away from the rest of the Premier League clubs to
chase their own lucrative broadcasting deal.
Championship giants West Ham United have confirmed they are still very much interested in a move to
the London Olympic Stadium following the completion of next year's Olympic Games. The Hammers had
originally won the bid to take over the ground as part of the legacy of the games, but with legal
challenges from London rivals Spurs and Leyton Orient looming it was instead decided that the
stadium would remain in public ownership as a valued asset and be leased out instead - with some
circles of the British press reportedly claiming the rental of the ground would cost a fee in the
region of £2 million per year.
According to reports Manchester City are interested in Uruguayan winger Gaston Ramirez.
Ramirez has stated publicly he is happy at his current club, Bologna, although he did talk about
moving to a ‘bigger level' in the summer.
City are believed to have pursued the midfielder with a €10 million offer but the player remained
in Italy.
After the disappointment of missing out on the Champions League places last season, followed by
losing badly to the two (albeit strong) Manchester clubs in our opening fixtures this campaign, for
most Spurs fans it is great to see that manager Harry Redknapp finally has selection problems in a
good way.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is set to join Premier League rivals Tottenham in the hunt for
Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao, according to reports on Goal.com.
Tottenham have been linked with Damiao throughout the course of the summer transfer window and it
is now believed Liverpool is prepared to enter the race for the 22-year-old.
If Neil Lennon is to wrestle the Scottish Premier League title back from rivals Rangers, then a
steady central defensive pairing has to be found.

Liverpool in the Carling Cup.
Championship hopefuls Brighton welcome Liverpool to the Amex Stadium in their third round tie on
Wednesday night.
The Seagulls have already knocked out Liverpool's Premier League rivals Sunderland in the previous
round, but Poyet believes his side will need a little luck if they are to send Kenny Dalglish's
troops packing.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed that he wanted to keep Jonathan Woodgate this summer,
before the injury-prone defender moved to Premier League rivals Stoke City on a free transfer.
The classy centre-back had a stop-start career in North London making only 64 appearances after
an £8m move from Middlesbrough in January 2008 mainly due to a long list of injuries which stemmed
from an unstable pelvis.

However, Villa could be willing to hijack the move, with the Ligue 1 champions struggling to afford
the winger's wages.
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. - It's clear that the US Open Cup means a little bit more to the Chicago Fire

several other clubs including the Reds' Premier League rivals Manchester City. Luis Suarez

headed to the land of sun. From MLSS: Robbie Keane was officially brought aboard Monday as he and

up alongside former English Premier League rivals David Beckham and Landon Donovan.
FC Barcelona will be playing their first competitive match of the 2011-12 season at Santiago

is a two legged affair and we do have the advantage of playing teh second leg at home. Real Madrid
and Barcelona had kind of a contrasting pre-season tour.
