Despite the fact this was Thierry Henry's final Premier League appearance for the club, despite
the fact he capped it with an injury time winner, and despite the fact he goes back to New York
after our Champions League game against Milan in midweek, it's hard to think that the Henry Arsenal
story is completely written.
Time to upgrade his statue to silver
If you're a Arsenal fan today, you'll be buzzing. Nothing beats coming from behind and winning
by scoring in the final minute of the game. Especially when it's an away game and we weren't firing
on all cylinders. Especially when the winning goal was scored by one of the club's greatest ever
player.

For Charlie Davies, perhaps not securing a full transfer or loan extension was the best tactic
to take this winter after all.
Davies has been included on Sochaux's first-team roster for the club's league game at Stade
Rennes on Saturday, marking a major milestone for him and his quest to break back into the club's
lineup.
Oh good grief, now this is awkward. I had only just made myself comfortable in readiness for a
lengthy period of smugness, gloating and absolutely unbearable braggadocio. And why the devil not
– our lot produce the most jaw-dropping eye candy since that lady from the Sean Connery days
emerged from the sea to jiggle about in her skimpies in frightfully uncouth manner.
Liverpool drew their 8th home league game of the season against Spurs last night, and after the
game, Kenny Dalglish declared that he was 'really pleased' with the way the team played. Dalglish's
former team-mate Steve Nicol had the opposite reaction, and bemoaned the quality of Liverpool's
play in the attacking third of the field.
On Tuesday, the Manchester City official website claimed that they had already sold out the
weekend's fixture against Fulham. This obviously came as a surprise, given that just 30,000 blues
bothered to show up for their League Cup semi-final against Liverpool a few weeks ago, with tickets
being sold for as little as a tenner on the day.
THFC1882 brings another new guest writer. Football blogger and Spurs fan

Liverpool v Tottenham: The Fab Four and Beyond.
This Monday Totteham Hotspur faces Liverpool at Anfield in a clash that is set to have far
reaching effects across the top of the Premier League.
As a team, Liverpool's passing accuracy in the Premier League so far this season is 81%, which is
fairly good, but it means means that 19% of passes are being misplaced in every league game. Who
are biggest culprits when it comes to giving the ball away? Before you read any further, try and
guess who are the worst offenders.
Chelsea-Manchester United is live on Fox at 7:30 a.m. A preview is here. The "game before the game"

Notts County v Stevenage
Meadow Lane | League 1
4th February 2012 | 3:00pm kick off
Gary Smith's first game in charge was against Notts County last weekend and his first league
game will also be up against Martin Allen's side as Boro travel to Nottingham this Saturday.
Stevenage are still on a high from last weekend's Cup win and the bonus of drawing Tottenham in the
5th round.
On Thursday, world soccer's governing body released the following statement after more than 70
soccer fans were killed following the Al-Ahly - Al-Masry Egyptian Premier League game on Wednesday,
February 2nd. FIFA is deeply saddened by the tragic incidents which led to the death of football
fans and others at last night's match in Port Said.

This is a real stinker to start the morning but, as was reported at half-time during last
night's Final Score, 74 people are known to have died and at least 1,000 have been injured in a
mass pitch invasion during the Egyptian league game between rival sides Al-Masry and Al Ahli in the
city of Port Said.
At least 73 people have been killed and over 1,000 injured after violence erupted at the final
whistle of an Egyptian Premier League game between Al-Masry and Al-Ahly.
"This is not football. This is a war and people are dying in front of us. There is no movement
and no security and no ambulances," Ahli player and Egypt star Mohamed Abou Treika told his club's
television channel.
In his press conference yesterday Alan talked about the league game tonight at Ewood Park
against Blackburn Rovers. Alan Pardew let's hope he does this tonight Alan talked about the
transfer window and that he was hopeful of keeping all his top players, which we did, and then he
became animated talking about the Yohan Cabaye violent [.

Wow! Philadelphia really wanted to get rid of Sebastian Le Toux! After he did not get signed by
Bolton this week they turned around and sold him to Vancouver today.
-Why in the world would they dump their best player???

Bolton - Arsenal 3pm - Fox Soccer Bolton's fortunes have been trending upwards of late. They beat
Liverpool in their last Premier League game and advanced in the FA Cup at the expense of Swansea.
There's also Tim Ream, adding another US National Team player to the club's roster. Ream isn't

It is a wild day across England, with the rapid-fire closing of the transfer window being
accompanied by a full slate of mid-week matches. While the transfer window doesn't figure to
include any more Americans making moves to England, there could be some notable performances by
U.
In amongst all the transfer rumour chaos there's a Premier League game to be played tonight and
according to Spurs' assistant Joe Jordan, there are a few injury worries ahead of the game with
Wigan.
Jordan revealed new doubts over Jermain Defoe and Aaron Lennon, both of whom have picked up
fresh hamstring injuries in the last few days.
A week is a long time in football. Seven days ago we were preparing for a league game against
Manchester United, a game from which we hoped to get points, primarily, and restore some confidence
after a couple of miserable results previously. Clearly that worked out well.
We've spent the last week poring over that game, the incidents, the manager's decision making
and everything else.
Fabricio Coloccini doesn't make the game at Brighton this afternoon, and in comes James Perch to
partner Mike Williamson at the back. The Newcastle captain was a doubt with a groin strain, and
it's always better to go safety first with these types of injuries, and hopefully Fab will be fit
for the league game at Blackburn [.
This lunchtime, Chelsea travel to Loftus Road to take on QPR in the next round of the FA Cup but
somehow I don't think much of the focus leading up to this one won't be on the football!.
I could sit here all day talking about what happened and what is going to happen in a couple of
days time but there is a football match to be won so I would rather concentrate on that!
The Pyramids of Giza serve as a graphic to help describe a simple 3-D model of corruption in
football
The power pyramid on the left represents agents, betting, mafia.
The power pyramid on the right represents the ruling bodies, the national associations, major
leagues.
The power pyramid in the centre represents the territory where these two other pyramids mingle -
the upper part of the central pyramid is the white market, the lower half is the grey market and
the underground is the underground.
At the beginning of last season (2010) we highlighted Nani's emergence as a "must have" Fantasy
Premier League option when Antonio Valencia broke his leg in a Champions League game and eventually
missed the majority of the 2010-2011 season. Deja ... Continue reading →

Fox says Thursday that Manchester United's 2-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday received a 0.
Marco Terminesi had a goal and an assist as the Milwaukee Wave scored four times in a
1:51 span midway through the second quarter to take control and went on to a 16-13 victory over the
host Wichita Wings in a Major Indoor Soccer League game Thursday night.
Greg Howes scored his team-best 14th and 15th goals of the season and added an assist for
the Wave (13-2), who finished 4-1 on their five-game road trip and increased their lead over the
Missouri Comets in the Central Division to four games with nine matches left to play.
Alan Pardew has said in his Brighton press conference this afternoon, that Newcastle may try to get
Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse back for the Premier League game next Wednesday evening at Blackburn.

strikers Demba Ba and [.

It's interesting that even this morning the focus appears to be on a controversial substitution
when the bigger issue is the fact we've just lost our third league game in a row, taking our total
of defeats in the league this season to eight.
When Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's number went up in the 74th minute many of the 60,000 at the
stadium made it quite clear what they thought of the decision.
Everton Boss David Moyes has praised the maturity of Ireland U21 International Shane Duffy after
his home Premier League debut at Goodison Park yesterday against Blackburn.
Speaking after the 1-1 draw Moyes said "Shane Duffy had a terrific game. He was arguably our best
player today and he's a young boy; we just needed a lot more in every department.
Melbourne Victory were worse than ever - and yet that's despite changing the coach.
Kevin Muscat has been told to work on the defence!
He'd be better doing a Paul Scholes and get himself back on the pitch.
Adrian Leijer and Roddie Vargas are not just weak, but have been exposed all season and how is
Leijer a leader.

Greg Howes opened and closed the scoring, and goalkeeper Marcel Feenstra made 19
saves as the Milwaukee Wave bounced back to beat the host Wichita Wings 9-6 in a Major Indoor
Soccer League game Saturday night in the second of three straight meetings between the teams.
Giuliano Oliveiro also scored, defender Joe Hammes added a 3-pointer and Marcio
Leite had two assists for Milwaukee (12-2), which dropped an 18-16 decision to the Wings (6-9)
on Friday night.
The host Wichita Wings scored the final nine points, including Kevin Ten Eyck's winning
3-pointer with 2:02 remaining, to stun the Milwaukee Wave 18-16 in a Major Indoor Soccer League
game watched by 3,200 fans Friday night.
Ian Bennett's second goal of the game, his team-best 12th of the season, gave the Wave
(11-2) a 16-9 lead 7:13 into the second half.
Liverpool travel to Bolton on Saturday evening well aware anything less than three points at the
Reebok Stadium will cast serious doubts over their already flagging top-four ambitions.
A seventh Premier League draw of the season at Anfield in last weekend's dire stalemate against
Stoke has left the 18-time champions of England five points adrift of fourth place.
I had high hopes for Marouane Chamakh when he joined Arsenal back in 2010, however, he has
failed to live up to his billing and a move away from the Emirates does not look forth coming any
time soon.
I thought Chelsea striker Fernando Torres was struggling until i had a look at Chamakh's
stats.
The Thai FA have more front than Brighton beach. A couple of years ago they promised to support
England's World Cup bid and in return England agreed to their request to play a friendly in Bangkok
earlier this year.
The Thais reneged on their promise and England, perhaps not surprisingly, cancelled their proposed
trip to Bangkok.
Ahead of this weekend's league game at Bolton, Kenny Dalglish has provided an injury update, and
the news is very encouraging. In his press conference earlier today, Kenny confirmed that Liverpool
have no new injury worries:"Everything's fine - we just need to have a look at Jay; see how he
goes.
The process that brought him in was a little unexpected, but the end result really wasn't. Today,
Sporting KC acquired the rights to former San Jose Earthquakes draft pick, Michael Thomas for a 4th
round Supplemental draft pick, the 73rd overall. The fact that Sporting had to give something to
San Jose for Thomas is the surprising part.
United went level with Manchester City at the top of the Barclays Premier League thanks to
Saturday's three-nil win over struggling Bolton. In truth, for the second home league game in a
row, despite the winning margin, United made hard work of it. While the win over Bolton keeps the
pressure on leaders City, it was not the performance of champions.
Liverpool is reportedly considering a move for Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud as they bid to
solve their profligacy in front of goal.
The Reds have managed just 1.2 goals per Premier League game this season, only scoring more than
two goals in a match on two occasions so far.
Their top league goalscorer, Luis Suarez, only has five goals, and is of course currently serving
an eight match suspension.
