During each and every window there is at least one signing that raises an eyebrow, a deal that
takes us outside our footballing comfort zone. Be it Michael Owen's move to Manchester United or
Bayern Munich deciding to recruit Dale Jennings from Tranmere, clubs will continue to upset our
notion of the footballing norm.
Josh Gatt has been a shining star for Molde FK this year, helping the Norwegian club in its
quest to repeat as league champions with six goals in the first six months of the Tippeligaen
campaign.
It would appear that the Seattle Sounders might not be done making moves, after all. Former
Chelsea and Barcelona forward Eidur Gudjohnsen told an Icelandic publication that he is joining the
Seattle Sounders for a trial.
"I'm just going to see situations, I train there for a few days and see how I described on
this," he's quoted as telling 433.
According to the Norwegian media, Bjorn Helge Riise is a Lillestrøm SK player. In fact,
according to a video interview on their own website, he's an LSK player.
But, according to Fulham's own website he still plays for the club. Screenshot below:
Perhaps this is just a technicality and the Fulham PR and web team are posting a release
announcing his departure while simultaneously taking down his profile page.

Fulham losing Pavel Pogrebnyak is definitely a blow, whether Fulham supporters will admit it or
not. The Russian striker scored 6 goals for Fulham last season in just 12 league appearances. The
Cottagers will miss that strike-rate this next season....
With the arrival of Oussama Assaidi and emergence of teenager Raheem Sterling, Downings hopes of
a regular first team role on one of the flanks looks increasingly unlikely.
The 28-year-old England international has struggled to impress on his first season at Anfield,
failing to score or collect an assist despite of his 36 Premier League appearances last season.
Will Tottenham finally get a win under AVB? - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
If you are looking for bankers to put in an acca then Spurs looks suitable material at 1.53 withÂ
Paddy Power to beat West Brom on Saturday (25th August 2012). The Baggies last win at White Hart
Lane came in November 1984, since then they have lost six and drawn two of their visits to north
London.
Spurs are a top priced 1.53 with Blue Square and Paddy Power to beat West Brom and the stats
suggest they will do just that. The Baggies last win at White Hart Lane came in November 1984,
since then they have lost six and drawn two of their visits to north London. They also have a poor
record in the capital winning just three and losing 22 of their 33 trips to London in the Premier
League.

Media reports in Holland say that Alexander Buttner has traveled to Manchester to undergo a
medical ahead of a potential £3.5m-£4m move to Manchester United.
Buttner is a 23 year-old left sided player who can play higher on the wing or as left back, came
through the Ajax youth ranks and currently plays for Vitesse Arnhem.
Immediately after returning from their U.S. tour, Liverpool began their season with a Europa
League qualifying match against Belarusian club Gomel. In that match, Stewart Downing set the tone
for the new season. That tone? One of excellence and domination. One destined for multiple Golden
Boots.
Saturday is going to be a full day for Fire and Aston Villa supporters. From the Supporters
Friendly Saturday morning to the actual friendly match Saturday night, it will be a chance for Fire
fans to mingle with the fans of a Premier League club rich in history. Let's just say that it's not
everyday that you have the chance to see and English Premier League club playing in our very own
Toyota Park.

Liverpool left back Jack Robinson is wanted on loan by several Premier League and Championship
sides, with Norwich City and Bolton having shown interest in the 18 year old.
Derby County is also looking to sign the Warrington born defender for the duration of next
season.
With the departure of Fabio Aurelio this summer, Liverpool have only Jose Enrique as a recognized
left back at present, although Glen Johnson was chosen as cover whenever Enrique was injured last
season, ahead of Robinson.
Juan Manuel Vargas' agent claims that Liverpool is interested in the winger and that he could leave
Fiorentina over the summer.
The Peru international has one season left to run on his current contract and he was reportedly a
target for Arsenal 12 months ago.
He is again attracting interest from the Premier League, according to his representative Jorge
Cyterszpiler, with Liverpool keeping tabs on his situation.
Arsenal have officially confirmed the signing of France international Olivier Giroud from
Montpellier for a reported £13million.
The 25-year old striker completed a medical before agreeing terms at Arsemal's training ground
on Monday evening. The completion of the transfer is now just the subject of formal processes.

Fulham's supporters just put the icing on the cake for Clint Dempsey's historic season.
The club announced Thursday that Dempsey has been voted Fulham's Player of the Season by the
club's fans for the second straight year. The honor comes as no surprise for the 29-year-old, who
scored 23 goals in all competitions despite logging most of his minutes in the Cottagers'
midfield.
Gylfi Sigurdsson does not see himself signing a permanent deal at Swansea and he would be
interested in joining Liverpool but he has not yet spoken to Brendan Rodgers regarding a possible
move to Anfield.
After arriving in January, the attack-minded Iceland midfielder took the Premier League by storm
while on loan at Swansea from Hoffenheim and he seemed set to agree a long-term contract at the
Liberty Stadium.
Six players on the roster have made Mexico their home for professional football, and tonight's
match represents a special opportunity. A snapshot of the Liga MX'ers:
DaMarcus Beasley: Beasley made the move to Mexico and Puebla FC in the summer
of 2011. Since then, the 30-year-old midfielder has scored seven goals in more than 30 league
appearances for La Franja.
D.C. United's stand-in opponent for their July 28 friendly will be Paris St. Germain.
As a result of Juventus cancelling its North American tour and pulling out of the World Football
Challenge tournament, D.C. scrambled to find a new opponent and landed on PSG, which will also be
playing Chelsea at Yankee Stadium on July 22 as part of the WFC.
As the season draws near and the transfer window inches towards closing, Real Madrid seem
content to let Kaka go as they hope to make room for Luka Modric. His much talked about chance at a
return to his beloved Milan remains in limbo as the newly budget conscious Italian giants publicly
claim the move would be "almost impossible.
Real Madrid's newest Galactico appears to be Luka Modric.
The Croatian playmaker is reportedly set to leave Tottenham to sign a four-year deal with Madrid
for a transfer fee in the range of $45 million to $55 million.
According to the report, Modric has agreed to personal terms with Madrid on the contract, but
Madrid's compensation to Tottenham still needs to be resolved.
Fan favorite Alvaro Fernandez may be gone, but Seattle Sounders supporters have another new
player to cheer for in addition to recently-acquired Christian Tiffert.
The Sounders announced Monday that they added Honduran international midfielder Mario Martinez
on loan from Real Espana.
CHESTER, Pa. -- At the start of 2012, many people had written Eddie Johnson off. After all, he
had languished for several years in Europe, moving from club to club.
But after returning to MLS with the Seattle Sounders, Johnson has found his form once again, and
he proved that Wednesday night when he delivered a stoppage time winner as the MLS All-Stars
defeated European champions Chelsea, 3-2, at PPL Park.
It should hardly be shocking at this point, but the Seattle Sounders announced that Christian
Sivebaek has been waived. To replace his spot on the roster, they also signed Daniel Steres, who
had been picked up in the recent waiver draft.
Sivebaek's departure does open up an international roster spot though, and presumably clears
about $60,000 in salary cap space (the rough pro-rated portion of his unpaid salary).
If Brad Guzan is going to permanently claim a starting goalkeeping spot in the near future, he
will have to do so at the club where he has struggled to breakthrough thus far.
After flirting with free agency, Guzan re-signed with Aston Villa on Monday, the Premiership
club announced on its website.
With two roster slots still wide open and at least one (possibly two) open international spots,
the New England Revolution have a lot of options to play around with in their search for mid-season
reinforcements. It can be agreed all around that defensive help and striker depth are the areas of
greatest concern for the Revs, and if rumors on twitter and in the Italian media are to be
believed, they may be about to address the former.
Malaga are reportedly preparing an offer for Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner.
The 24-year-old Denmark international, who has two years remaining on his Gunners contract, is
looking to move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer after Arsenal signed forwards Lukas
Podoski and Olivier Giroud this summer.
Liverpool are the latest club to be linked with a move for Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung who is
said to be attracting interest from a number of European clubs this summer.
The Sun believes that Liverpool will make an offer of £7million as they hope to steal a march on
the likes of Queens Park Rangers and Deportivo La Coruna who are both believed to be interested.
Italian striker Fabio Borini says moving to Liverpool was never in his thoughts after signing a
permanent deal at Roma.
The frontman joined the Giallorossi over the weekend after the capital club bought the remaining 50
per cent of the player from Serie A rivals Parma.
He had spent last season on loan at the Stadio Olimpico, scoring nine goals in 24 league
appearances.
Bologna director Roberto Zanzi has revealed they are negotiating with a top European club over the
sale of coveted playmaker Gaston Ramirez.
The Uruguay international has been strongly linked with a move away from Bologna this summer and is
a reported target of Manchester City, Liverpool and Juventus.
Bologna has put a price tag of over £20million on coveted playmaker Gaston Ramirez, according to
the player's agent.

a reported target of top European clubs including Manchester City, Liverpool and Juventus.
Expected, but out of the blue. Kuyt to Fenerbahce is official, not long after initial reports
surfaced early this morning.
So, what will you remember most? His hat-trick against United probably leads the list, and
rightfully so, but we're not wanting for choices. There's his five strikes against Everton,
including two game-winners.
The LA Galaxy have known for months that they would have to find a way to get Chad Barrett off
their payroll in order to fit all the salaries they had compiled on their roster for 2012, and on
Monday it appears they have finally found a way to make that move happen.
The Galaxy have sent Barrett on loan to Valarenga for the remainder of the 2012 MLS season,Â
Galaxy writer Adam Serrano confirmed on Monday night.

Oi oi. Arsenal have only gone and signed Olivier Giroud on a 'long-term deal', chucking £12
million in Montpellier's direction for the pleasure a deal which has been teetering over the very
precipice of completion for what seems like months and months and months.
