With the swine flu doubt cleared up, Paris Saint Germain picked up their first win since the
30th August on Sunday, beating Sochaux 4-1.
After years of struggling the Paris side finally had a good season last year, finishing 6th and
only missing out on a Champions League place due to their very poor form in the last league games,
picking up only 4 points from a possible 15.

Was Sir Alex Ferguson crazy when he lured Paul Pogba from Le Havre to Man Utd? Pogba? That must be
the most uninspiring name- (or made up name) of a footballer I have ever heard.I felt worse when
Manchester United promised the kid ÂŁ15500 a month contract when he turns 17 next year. On top of
that, Pogba's seperated parents will each be paid more than ÂŁ85,000.

Man United said via the official website (www.manutd.com) that the
Paul
Pogba claim had been put to bed, Le Havre are saying something totally different.
Le Havre claimed that United paid off Pogba's parents so that he would break a contract with Le
Havre and join United.

And with that, Paul Pogba became a Manchester United player. After months of speculation
regarding the fate of the French teenager, a FIFA-appointed judge upheld United's claim that Pogba
could not have been offered financial inducements to break a contract (because he didn't have one)
and was therefore free to sign with the English champions.

After Chelsea had been slapped with a ban from the transfer window, news broke that Manchester
United could be in for the same punishment after French club Le Havre claimed we had unlawfully
gained the signature of youngster Paul Pogba. United claimed time and again that we had done
nothing wrong and there was no problem with the deal, much to Le Havre president Jean-Pierre
Louvel's frustration.

Manchester United have been given the all clear in their bid to sign 16 year old Paul Pogba from
French club Le Havre.
Le Havre reported United to FIFA claiming that they had agreed a contract with the midfielder
which was due to come into effect at the start of the 09/10 campaign.
Le Havre also dragged United's good name through the mud, slinging accusations of bribery our
way, however, no report was made to FIFA over these allegations; presumably because the allegations
were unfounded.

In a similar vein to the 1990 book of the same name this is an account of my favourite year,
part one.
Brighton & Hove Albion Second Division 6th place (losing Play-Off finalists) FA Cup 4th round
League Cup 1st round.
Albion 1990-91 (wearing the worst kit of all time)

the team from my favourite ever season, 1990-91.

Ken Bates, the hero of small clubs everywhere!

David Gill has let rip on Le Havre who have claimed we tapped up Paul Pogba.
"It is an insult by Le Havre to suggest that Manchester United and the employees of
Manchester United have paid the players' parents and bought the parents a house," said Gill.
"We will not accept the good name of Manchester United being trawled around on websites and the
press to say that we have done these things which we are not allowed to do and we would never
do.

I've refrained from discussing the whole Paul Pogba/Le Havre thing for a few days, because I'm
still not entirely sure what to make of it. My goal is to do a fair amount of research and lay it
out as best I can. For now, I thought you all might enjoy this gem that was uncovered over on
RedCafe.
It seems that Pogba originally played with Roissy-en-Brie before joining U.

English clubs offer a professional contract a year ahead of French and Spanish clubs which they
use to their full advantage with young players who have not yet signed with their parent clubs. It
gives them a headstart in their scouting which Chelsea did with Gael Kakuta at Lens and Manchester
United with Paul Pogba at Le Havre.

Everybody is well versed on yesterday's big news of Chelsea's transfer ban until 2011, a protracted

youth contract with a pre-arrangement to a professional contract once he turned 17, all sorts of
warning signs began going off.

What do we know about Kevin Anin? We know that he plays for Le Havre, a French team that got
relegated last season. He's 23 and has a large build. Sounds a bit like a lineup doesn't it?
If anyone can shed any light as to his position as a midfielder, please do so. A few guys in the
office have said that they think he's a defensive midfielder, although they're not entirely sure.

Paul Pogba. I'm pretty sure none of us had heard anything about this young starlet before last

chance to comprehend his potential before he was whisked away under a cloud of smoke dosh.

This week's furor over Manchester United "stealing" Le Havre's Paul Pogba shows, to me, the deeply
conflicted ethical issues at play regarding underage players in today's soccer world.
The player here, Paul Pogba, is a very highly rated 16 year old who plays for Le Havre. According
to Le Havre, Man U have offered his family money/employment for him to end a contract he has signed
with the French club.
