Oh fuck me. The FA Cup is back.
Now, I'm not one of those EPL-centric, footballing-history-started-in-1992 type people. I just
hate the FA Cup. I hate how misused the FA Cup is in terms of broadcasting (both online and
televised).
Last March I wrote a post about how College Basketball's March Madness is presented in
America.
Per the offal: "Fulham FC can confirm that Keanu Marsh Brown has today left the Club by mutual
consent."
Never played a minute for the first team, but was on the bench for those memorable wins over
Shaktar, Juventus; a few other random Europa Games. Had a pretty productive spell at MK Dons the
second-half of last season, and even played a part in the Dons' playoff run.
David Stockdale started and made 6 saves in Ipswich Town's 1-0 loss to Crystal
Palace. Last Tuesday he started and made 7 saves in Ipswich Town's 1-0 win at Portsmouth.
Bjorn Helge Riise did not dress in Portsmouth's 2-0 win over Barnsley. Last
Tuesday he was an unused sub in Pompey's 1-0 loss to Ipswich.
David Stockdale started and made 11 saves in Ipswich Town's 2-2 draw at
Cardiff on Saturday. On October 1 he started and made 7 saves in Ipswich's 3-1 win over
Brighton.
Bjorn Helge Riise did not dress in Portmouth's 2-0 win over Barnsley on
Saturday. He started and played 45 minutes in Portsmouth's 1-0 loss at Leeds on October 1.
In case you thought this list wasn't big enough, two more loaners to be added to the list.
Bjorn Helge Riise recently joined Portsmouth on loan until the November 7. And
turns out this fella named Richard Barroilhet joined Finnish club Vaasan
Palloseura until October 31 way back in August.
Oops, missed two weeks worth of the loaner reports including mentioning a few new names added to
the list. My apologies, but here's the full run down:
Lauri Dalla Valle and Keanu Marsh-Brown joined Dundee United on loan right before the summer
transfer deadline. Rich wrote about Dalla Valle already, but Marsh-Brown joined the Scottish side
on August 30.
Lauri Dalla Valle has been sent to Dundee United on loan. This might not mean much to you, but
it's a nice reminder of days gone by for me.
(First things first, Dundee United play in orange-black-orange. If I started a team from scratch
my team would wear these colours. I haven't thought about this seriously for about 25 years, but
this was always my position on the matter: any football club I found would wear
orange-black-orange.

New first team squad numbers are out.
The curse of the 'proper' numbers continues, as John Arne Riise vacates the number seven shirt
recently not worn by Seol, Andranik, and... who had it last year (ed. Sidwell)? In any case, such
a prestigious number needs an equally prestigious owner, and Fulham simply haven't come up with
one.

Decked out in their new, all-white home strip, a near full-strength Fulham team successfully got
both their Europa League campaign and their 2011/12 season off to a winning start with a
comfortable victory over Nes Soknar Itrottarfelag Runavik at the Cottage last night with goals
from Damien Duff, Danny Murphy and Andy Johnson giving Martin Jol's side a 3-0 advantage going
into the away leg against the Faroese part-timers.
Former Liverpool frontman set for Fulham debut - Fulham FC - Sport - Fulham Chronicle Yes,
indeed... there is Premier League action! Well, of a sort. Fulham take on "Faroe Islands
part-timers" NSI Runavik tonight in a Europa League qualifier. Let's hear it for the Fair Play
rules! This is Martin Jol's first match in charge of Fulham and he'll be missing Carlos Salcido and
Clint Dempsey who
Diomansy Kamara came off the bench in the 26th minute and scored a goal in
Leicester City's 4-2 win over Ipswich. He ends his brief loan stint at Leicester City with 7
appearances and 2 goals.
Kagisho Dikgacoi did not dress in Crystal Palace's 3-0 loss to Nottingham
Forest.
Sorry for the tardiness of this post. I don't really have an excuse, as it's not like our boys
were up to much...
Diomansy Kamara came off the bench in the 51st minute in Leicester City's 1-1
draw with Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
Kagisho Dikgacoi did not dress in Crystal Palace's 1-1 draw at Hull City on
Saturday.

Diomansy Kamara started, played 72 minutes, and scored a goal in Leicester

access the BBC iPlayer. Today he started and played 76 minutes on the Foxes' 1-1 draw with Crystal
Palace.
Kagisho Dikgacoi started and played 90 minutes in Crystal Palace's 2-1 loss at
Ipswich on Saturday.
Two new loaners to tell you all about since our last report! Diomansy Kamara joined Leicester
City on loan until the end of the season, and Jonathan Cosgrove joined Brentford on a Youth Loan
until 14 May 2011. (What the hell is a "Youth Loan"?)

Coventry City on Saturday.
Today starts College Basketball's March Madness. Sixty-eight teams due battle over the next few
weeks in a tournament that makes the World Cup seem puny in terms of scale, (but not pageantry or
importance or anything else, mind you). Today, there are 16 games going on. The same amount will be
played tomorrow.
Some Loaner tidbits for you before we begin this Report: Neil Etheridge's loan
at Charlton Athletic was cancelled today after he was an unused sub in the second game since
arriving; and Courtney Harris' month-loan at Bromley FC ended on Friday.
Kagisho Dikgacoi started, played 90 minutes, and received a yellow card in
Crystal Palace's 2-1 loss at Queens Park Rangers.

Forest.
Eddie Johnson started and played 90 minutes in Preston North End's 2-1 loss to
Leeds United.
(Unless stated otherwise, all games occurred on Saturday)
We have another loaner to join the merry ranks! Blue-chip teenager Lauri Dalla
Valle joined League One side Bournemouth last week on a one-month loan. He came off the
bench in the 70th minute and scored a goal on his debut, 10 minutes in.
With news coming out that Paul Konchesky's move back to his former club Fulham is all but
assured, it looks as though Liverpool will be saying goodbye to one more reminder of the
short-lived Roy Hodgson era at anfield. This is, at least on the surface, good news, though it has
been in the works in some form or another for a while now.
