Sneijder! Nasri! Hulk! It's Wednesday's Football Spy video
Welcome to Wednesday's edition of Football Spy. Darren Lewis is on hand with all the latest
transfer news and gossip, including details of Wes Sneijder's on again move to Manchester United
and Samir Nasri's potential move to City.
Well I guess your esteemed bloggers should all get the slacker of the week award this time, since
none of us were able to watch today's friendly. Actually, JG may have watched, but he's currently
unable to really blog or comment while he's visiting in Peru for about three weeks. Hopefully he'll
be back and blogging in less than two weeks.
Well a few more (mostly) useless tidbits have come in since the last time I wrote, which I'll
attempt to address today. Also, this blog will serve as our match thread for the first preseason
match, where we take on the Malaysia XI. I might update this blog with some lineups and such, but
I'll probably just leave it all for the comments section.
May 20, 2011 German giants Bayern Munich have bolstered their squad for the 2011/12 season by
signing second division top scorer Nils Petersen from Energie Cottbus. Petersen, who has signed a
three year contract, has cost Bayern a reported three million euro fee. Petersen is Bayern's first
signing of the summer window as they aim [.
The January transfer window closes tonight in the Premier League at 11pm UK time (6pm ET, 3pm
PT). Whether there'll be a flurry of activity on the final day, we'll find out today as well as
whether Fernando Torres will be moving from Liverpool to Chelsea or not. If that happens, expect a
domino of subsequent transfer signings and players being sold to follow.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is reportedly on the verge of ridding his squad of an unneeded
players. It's been known for at least a month that Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjcar would be
leaving White Hart Lane, and it looks as if some late interest from Werder Bremen will finally make
a move materialize.
A superb display by Leeds at the Emirates in the FA Cup last weekend is reviewed by Twiggster
