If you don't have the time to pay attention to the whole stream and want last Saturday's
festivities in small doses, all three shows now have their shows online. So I'm putting them here
all in one post, complete with my introductions. The video quality isn't the greatest due to the
poor lighting in the room, but I do want to thank the great Brian Ibbott at Coverville for shooting
the video for me.

So, bits and pieces of this past weekend are slowly coming back to me, mainly as a result of
going through my pictures, the best of which have been uploaded to my Facebook page. But here are
some thoughts:
I stayed in the West Wing at MGM Grand. It was smaller than their usual rooms, but much more
interestingly decorated.

I'm at McCarran Airport waiting to take the red-eye back to Chicago as an amazing trip to Vegas
comes to a close. The Podcast-A-Palooza was a total blast, as was hanging out with friends old and
new. I'll have more to tell about it, with pictures and video, but until then, this song by
Drive-By Truckers has been in my head all day.

Frank Lampard is still on holiday in Las Vegas.
It's been longer than 48 hours. In fact, it's been a week.
We didn't think it was possible to "do" Vegas for that long without dying of alcohol poisoning
or catching something that requires a prescription. But it would seem Lampsy is in his element:
sun, poolside drinks and skanky chicas as far as the eye can see.

The season ended almost four weeks ago and I imagine that you, like me, are missing football
dreadfully.
Our players on the other hand seem to have been enjoying their time off, and here's what they've
been up to since the season finished.
Ryan Giggs attended the 5 Stars Scanner Appeal with Lee Sharpe, Paul Ince, Kim Marsh, Max
Beesley, Suranne Jones, Will Mellor, Angela Griffin, John Simms and Chris Bisson to name a few.

Greaseano isn't the only 'baller to hit Sin City this week. The
Dinho was in Las Vegas to catch Cirque du Soleil's "Love" show last Friday. He then went
backstage and spent 30 minutes giving autographs and taking photographs with the
performers and clowns.

Footballers going on holiday from a holiday. What could be better. Wes Brown played only eight of
Manchester United's 38 Premier League games in the 2008-2009 season, but clearly that was enough
exertion for the England right back to take a trip to Las Vegas to relax from his full season of
relaxation.

I told you two weeks ago about US Soccer's preliminary list of stadiums that could potentially
host World Cup matches if the USA won a bid for the 2018 or 2022 Finals. That list is down to a
much more manageable 58 now after some said "No, thank you" and a couple others jumped in.
It's probably not surprising that the 11 who said "No" were all college
football stadiums, seven of those in the south (two others - Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in
Gainesville, Florida and Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman are "pending," but I wouldn't expect
the USSF to be holding a spot for them for too long).

A dozen colleges were not interested in being considered as potential venues for the 2018 or 2022
World Cups, in an update to the list of 70 stadiums released by the United States Soccer
Federation. Alabama, Auburn, BYU, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, SMU,
Texas, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech turned down the opportunity to host games.

So what's keeping the Crew in Columbus?

Many of you have already taken a look at the Don Garber interview that threatens the relocation of
DC United. There have been similar articles, though not by nearly as credible of sources, about the
possible relocation of the Columbus Crew to Las Vegas in the past few weeks.I view both of these
threats as deeply troubling to the league.

MLS Debris 26 November @ 08:28 PM EST
Gone are the days of the five dollar buffet in Las Vegas. At the strip casinos it's pretty much
impossible to find any sort of lunch entree for under $10, and it's even more than that for dinner.
Many of the casinos are trying to upscale everything and the proliferation of $12 hamburgers is
both impressive and amusing, since exactly the same thing at a regular restaurant will cost you $5
less.

Hello again. I just got back from Las Vegas, so I'll be posting a bunch of non-soccer stuff over

More details about what was discussed by the MLS Board of governors at the All Star Game, continue
to emerge. In a sign of the continued growth and viability of the league,
MLS bosses considered raising expansion fees to $50 Million. A 400 percent increase from when
Toronto FC joined the league for a mere $10 Million.

According to Martin Rogers' latest MLS expansion update from Yahoo! sports, Montreal and Vancouver
seem to be two of the frontrunner's for 2011 MLS expansion, with a lot of focus on the City of
Saints.
According to the piece, "Joey Saputo, owner of United Soccer League side Montreal Impact, is
determined to secure an MLS license and already has some infrastructure in place.

MLS commissioner Don Garber thinks the league could grow beyond the 18 teams saying, "our
sense is that we could have quite a few more than that." This is the most direct indication
yet as to the future expansion plans for the league.
Originally it appeared like MLS would hold off on expanded past 16 teams in order to allow the
local (US & Canada) talent pool to grow.

Sorry for skipping out over the weekend, I made a quick trip out to Las Vegas for a friend's 30th
Birthday. I had a great time, won some money, drank less than I should have and enjoyed the whole
weekend.
One thing that I did manage to miss was the USMNT match. As I was there for a birthday, I was sorta
stuck with birthday related things, compounded to that was the fact that I couldn't find a Sports
Book in either the Venitian or Ceasars Palace that would show the match.

The Las Vegas Sun offers up their odds for the 13 cities often mentioned in MLS expansion talks.
They are looking at things in a 'how does Vegas' fit in kind of way, but they don't seem to let the
homer symptom overly influence their thought process. Anyway, here are their odds:
Atlanta: 100-1
Cleveland: 60-1
Las Vegas: 10-1
Miami: 35-1
Milwaukee: 75-1
New York: 8-1
Philadelphia: 6-1
Phoenix: 20-1
Portland, Ore.
