Arsene Wenger has ratified Arsenal's summer tour of Nigeria. The under-fire Gunners manager gave
his blessing to the ground-breaking trip and pen was put to paper at the Emirates on Sunday as the
club hosted a delegation from the African organisers of the tour.
Arsenal officials met Nigeria Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the planned visit which will
be the club's first ever visit to Africa.
The Minnesota Stars released a statement earlier today stating that the team is exercising contract
options on 18 players this season. Last year the Stars returned 16 players and many credited the
consistency of returning players as one of the reasons for the teams success. Lagos spoke to IMS
this afternoon and explained why some [.
Yep. Not looking good for us.
I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much at all from this match. However, after seeing our
players give it their all for much of the first half, I almost felt like we had a chance for the
three points. But sadly fatigue, and terrible goaltending (if it can even be called that?
AEK got the result that we needed last night in Georgia, albeit in extra time.Leonardo's 111th
minute penalty, after Gudjonsen had been felled in the box, killed off the tie,and with an aggregate
scoreline of 2-1 over the two legs,AEK has qualified for the Europa League group stage, which also
brings in much needed funds!

In front of the NSC Stars largest home crowd of the season (3,071), Minnesota defeated the
struggling Montreal Impact 1-0. The goal came in the 33rd minute on a penalty kick taken by Neil
Hlavaty.
For the Stars, it was another game where the home team came out of chutes quickly and dominated
play but struggled with the final ball and scoring opportunities.

AEK took a big step towards qualification for the Champions League last night at the OAKA with a
comfortable victory in the 3rd game of the playoffs.Coming off a midweek 1-1 draw against pao(a
game in which we could have taken all 3 points).Last nights result leaves us with 8 points, paok
6,pao 4,Oly Volou 3 with 3 games still to play.
AEK has beaten the locals courtesy of goals from Manolas and two from Lagos.Unfortunately,I
didn't watch the game, but highlights can be found on this link....
I hope AEKMAN74 won't mind me adding to his post, but I figured I'd just add to his rather than
post a new entry. I only managed to find a decent stream in time for the second half so that's all
I can comment on, but I still won't say much.

AEK fans all around the world world will be rejoicing today after our beloved team came back
from Thesaloniki with a hard earned, well deserved victory over the locals,in the second leg of
Greek Cup Semi final. The one nil scoreline was more than enough to take us through to the final
on April 30 at the OAKA.
We made it much more difficult for us than we needed to but, thanks for Michel's last second
GOLARA, AEK are through to the semi-finals!
I'll admit that I did miss the second half due to this lovely snowstorm we had today in Ontario
and the shoveling which was required, but I managed to catch the first even though it wasn't all
good news.
AEK traveled north on Saturday night, looking to get back on track after last weeks miserable
game. And it was all positive for Manolo Jimenez and his team as we came away with the 3 points
courtesy of goals from Leonardo and the seemingly never aging Liberopoulos.
Jimenez sprung some major selection surprises in this game with the idea of resting players for the
upcoming midweek 2nd leg Greek Cup clash against pao.
