The Loons fell to Atlanta despite playing up a man for nearly an hour after defender Leandro Gonzalez-Pirez received two yellow cards in the first half, putting the visitors as a significant deficit.

Never short of confidence, Zlatan Ibrahimovic marked his La Galaxy debut on Saturday night with an outstanding 40 (ish)-yard goal.

The goal came during the Galaxy's 3-3 draw with LAFC in the first edition of the 'El-Trafico' derby.

Ibrahimovic, who made the trans-Atlantic move from Manchester United just over a week ago, made his debut for the MLS giants via a sub appearance on 71 minutes, with the score 3-1 to LAFC.

The expansion club announced on Tuesday, that the 21-year-old has officially been signed as the team's third designated player. Horta spent eight seasons with Benfica's youth system, before moving to Vitoria Setubal in 2012.

Los Angeles FC added a U.S. youth international forward to their squad on Wednesday, acquiring Shaft Brewer Jr. from FC Dallas.

Dallas received a fourth round pick in the 2019 Draft and $50,000 in General Allocation Money if certain playing conditions are met.

Brewer Jr. most recently played for German side RB Leipzig's U-19 squad, appearing in three contests.
