Tim Ream returned to England earlier this week with all the necessary paperwork completed for
him to suit up for Bolton Wanderers, and he might not have to wait long at all to make his
debut.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle told reporters on Thursday morning that Ream, and two of the other
club's recent acquisitions, will be on the gameday squad that will take on Wigan Athletic in a
match with relegation implications on Saturday.
Today's announcement at Southwark Crown Court means that Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is free to
resume full duties at White Hart Lane. We are therefore unlikely to see a repeat of Monday's game
at Liverpool where Harry was absent due to transport problems and it's likely that all the players
will be happy to see his familiar face in the dugout.
DARKSIDE CHRONICLES: Edition 002 Let me start off this week by saying that originally I was
planning to offer up a different article that dealt with other problems regarding Manchester
United. But due to the big game and glorious comeback that the lads fashioned on the weekend, I
think I should stick to the match [.
While it wasn't exactly backs to the wall for 90 minutes as some media reports are suggesting,
Tottenham had to show a great deal of resilience to come away with a draw from yesterday's
encounter at Anfield.
After the game, Assistant Manager Kevin Bond hailed a ‘different type of performance' as Spurs
took a valuable point from the match.
Man, did I love buying hockey cards as a kid. I'd take my 35 cents, run over to the corner store,
and open those bad boys up. After stupid things like inflation and market saturation, my beautiful
card collection's value sunk like a stone. I still have them (if interested, inquire within) but
some of the cards are, effectively worthless.
Newcastle came away with all 3 points on Wednesday evening at Blackburn, and a second successive
win in the Premier League tomorrow against Aston Villa would see the lads flying high. If
Newcastle can win tomorrow against a decent Aston Villa side, then Newcastle would have 42 points
from 24 games and the side would remain [.

We didn't feel good before last night's win at Blackburn. Fab Coloccini tussles with David Dunn
last night And when we wrote we just didn't have a good feeling about the game last night in our
match preview, that probably cheered up a of of Newcastle fans. And would you believe it,
the lads got a terrific win 2-0, and we were wrong again!
A delighted Alan Pardew was full of praise for his players last night, after the lads had won 2-0
and beaten Blackburn for the third time in four meetings this season. Alan Pardew

Everton boss David Moyes was a busy man in January, signing the likes of Darron Gibson and
Nikica Jelavic, loaning former Toffees Steven Pienaar and Landon Donovan, and offloading Louis Saha
to Tottenham.
All that activity is seemingly about to payoff, with the traditionally slow-starting
Merseysiders back in the top half of the table following last night's famous 1-0 win over league
leaders Manchester City at Goodison Park.
The transfer window came to a close yesterday with some very interesting signings across Europe.
Once again attention was centred on the EPL where a host of clubs were keen on bolstering their
squads for the remainder of the season.
However, it was to be a bitter sweet day for league leaders Manchester City who despite
capturing Roma midfielder David Pizarro on loan, suffered a 1-0 away defeat to Everton.
It must be hard being a manager when you have said the lads will put up a good performance after
the Fulham disaster, and then we lose to a lower league side in the FA Cup. Alan Pardew it was a
bit galling And it's not gone unnoticed that's for the second year in a row Newcastle have been
eliminated [.
U.S. Soccer fans were dialed in to yesterdays' FA Cup fourth round clash between Everton and
Fulham that featured Tim Howard, Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey. The home side walked out 2-1
winners, with Donovan serving up assists on both goals for the Toffees. The win was the
first for Everton against Fulham in their FA Cup history.
Ireland striker Robbie Keane has already become Aston Villa's in-game gaffer by shouting out pitch
instructions to his short-term colleagues.
Keane has ingratiated himself to team-mates and fans alike with his brilliant double in the 3-2
victory at Wolves last Weekend and it capped an amazing full Villa start for the 31-year-old Irish
captain who is currently on loan from LA Galaxy.
Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is already feeling at home with his new teammates, describing the
squad as an 'entertaining' group following the club's short training camp in Mallorca.
The Blues returned home earlier today and after spending most of the time in Mallorca training
together in the warm weather, Cahill feels that the bonding within the squad got stronger by the
day.

There were some good things that came out of the game on Saturday at Fulham. Ben Arfa becoming
Newcastle's secret weapon One of them was how very well the lads played in that first half, and of
the seven goals scored, Newcastle produced the best two individual goals from Danny Guthrie and
Ben Arfa.
We don't want to go on too much more about that game on Saturday, because after a while it gets
to be boring and in any case my arm starts to hurt when I have to write about it. Alan Pardew -

We don't think there's anything wrong with Alan Pardew taking the first team squad away on a

Everybody knows by now that its like riding on a roller-coaster to be a fan of Wolves, but this
game gave me a ride I'll never forget. I was totally exhausted afterwards and it felt like I'd been

Leading the league table for quite sometime and even managed to build a pretty huge lead with
their rivals, things gets really tight at the moment for Manchester City, but their players still
have high confidence about their title chance at the end of season.
Adam Johnson is one of those who believes his team strength in maintaining their current
position until the end of season since the winger thinks that it would be a big disappointment if
his club can't do that.

The players spent many afternoons in training at camp in Phoenix at Athletes Perfomance, and during
the time between lunch and lectures they got into some serious games of table tennis (not
ping-pong, as we were admonished!). As you can imagine, the lads are competitive in whatever they
do.
Make sure you stick around to the end.

Howay The Lads!! And the Senegal striker has welcomed his Senegal team-mate to Newcastle, following
an astonishing sequence of events yesterday, that saw Cisse join Newcastle in a stunning £9M

Newcastle United pulled off a coup today in the signing of Senegalese striker Papisse Demba
Cisse. The former Freiburg striker has nine goals from 15 appearances so far this season, and
finished last season as one of the top goalscorers in the Bundesliga with 22 goals to his name.
The striker signs on a 5 and-a-half year deal, and the transfer fee is thought to be in the
region of £7.

Dijon have confirmed that, after a protracted series of negotiations, Gael Kakuta will be
joining the club for the remainder of the campaign. Over the last ten days, Chelsea have been
engaged in a series of loan discussions with both Dijon and Olympiakos.
Spurs enjoyed a comfortable enough win over Cheltenham in the third round of the FA Cup on
Saturday and manager Harry Redknapp was quick to praise many members of the side. While Aaron
Lennon and Michael Dawson returned from injury, Niko Kranjcar impressed in a rare start and Jake
Livermore also caught the boss's eye as he filled in at right back.
Italian league action resumed yesterday after a short break with a couple of interesting
results. Inter Milan began the year with a resounding 5-0 hammering of Parma at the San Siro while
high flyers Lazio were thrashed 4-0 by Siena.
In what he termed as his best display ever with the club, a visibly happy Claudio Ranieri
praised his side for their 5 star performance.
A solid, professional job in the end. Charlton, as the third division table shows, are a tidy

The very last thing we want to happen tonight is for Newcastle to lose to Manchester United.
And that's because our poor run will continue and it will be the sixth defeat in the last 9
games for Newcastle, after the lads did so well in the other 11 games. But Newcastle usually
play well against Manchester United and indeed earned a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on November [.
