Do not believe that the Rapids lost to the suddenly resurgent Toronto FC on Saturday night.
No, Colorado managed only a scoreless tie at home against the worst team in the league at home
earlier this season. The 2-1 loss in Toronto was merely the latest stanza in a the mediocre medley
of 2011.
Where do I start with this mess of an event. From the big things to the small things it was an
embarrassment. Might as well take it chronologically.
1. I get en email from my ticket rep saying "No parking passes for this game are needed". I write
back asking if that's true for the tailgate lot.

The lovely Labor Day weekend is over for the 18 MLS clubs. All of them are in action this
weekend, with eight games being played tomorrow. It is a full weekend of soccer indeed.
Naturally most of the games this weekend have huge playoff implications surrounding them.

Ah, that sound you may here is the sound of a full Major League Soccer slate this weekend. All
18 MLS clubs are involved in Week 26 action with eight of the games being Saturday evening. Most
clubs had last weekend off and you can bet they are all geared up for the big playoff push here
this weekend.
I hope all the readers of EPL Talk had a great Labor Day weekend! Now that we are all back to the
grind (even I'm back to school), it is time to get to business. The England vs. Wales match ...

CSU-Pueblo and Adams State made the most of the Labor Day Weekend, playing the latest game of
the weekend and giving fans of both sides caused to cheer on Monday night.
In the end, however, it was the Thunderwolves with the most to celebrate as the side from Pueblo
beat the Grizzlies 2-1.
The Thunderwolves appeared to be in command, as CSU-Pueblo scored once in each half to take a
commanding lead.
In case you missed the only two MLS league games this Labor Day Weekend, we've got your recap right
here. We hope you all had a safe and enjoyable holiday spent with the ones you love and care about.
Now catch yourself up on RSL's victory over Philadelphia and the late game drama of Sporting and
the Galaxy.
Hope everyone has enjoyed a festive Labor Day. News on the Chelsea front continues to be slow
during this international break, but we do have footage of newest signing Raul Meireles taking part
in his first training session. Check it out below.
Pay special attention to the pleasantries at 21 seconds.
The Rangers women's soccer went 2-for-2 on matches during the long holiday weekend.
The women socked the Concordia University at St. Paul, Minn., Golden Bears 5-0 on Labor Day.
Forward Jordan Miller scored two goals for the Rangers, midfielders Marissa Davis, Erin Kettmann
and Kikki Arnold each had one goal.
Holidays are not really holidays in Major League Soccer. Or, holidays are truly treated as holidays
in MLS. Depends on one's outlook. A sports fan might think the latter, but wishes it weren't
true.
There is one match scheduled for Labor Day. It's a good one, with Donovan and Beckham leading the
charge against the upstart Sporting KC squad in its newest, state-of-the-art Soccer specific
stadium.
We're closed today to enjoy the Labor Day holiday. We'll be back to our regularly schedule
program tomorrow.

How did Bob Bradley spend his Labor Day Weekend? Hanging out in Customs at a Mexican airport
apparently. Word is he was down in Torreon interviewing for the Santos Laguna job. Would be awesome
if he got it or the Egypt gig; love the idea of an American coach having multiple overseas job
options that don't involve teaching English in China during your post-grad year.
I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day Weekend even though we have no Premier League
football. In America, we had the start of the college football season, but it just does not
compare to the excitement of the EPL. With the England vs. Wales...

Tomorrow is Labor Day here in the United States. So naturally, I've been thinking about how we
measure work performance in football. It's also a long weekend, with most people off from work for
three days. If they spending it catching up on the Premier League season so far, they could be
forgiven for scratching their heads upon finding out that last year's top scorers in the Premier
League Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez have yet to start a singe match this season.
Opening this up for the community. Have a great Labor Day Weekend.
Playing like a young Red buck...I mean Bull this year.
Every week the New England Soccer Today crew will look beyond the standings to rank each of
the 18 Major League Soccer (MLS) teams. This week Brian O'Connell and Sean Donahue contributed
rankings. Comments are followed by the ranker's name and the rank they gave that team.

Hello everybody. It's that time again. Time for us to discuss all things soccer in the latest
SBI Live Q&A.
With the U.S. men's national team set to play a pair of friendlies, the MLS season hitting the
playoff stretch drive, the college season getting underway and the European club season having
already gotten into full swing, it's a good time to catch up on all these topics and more.

If you thought the opening weekend in college soccer was a good one, well buckle up because the
Labor Day weekend slate is possibly even better. A couple more high-profile match ups headline this
holiday weekend as we once again have a #1 v.
The Portland Timbers learned when their rescheduled match versus D.C. United would be played, and
also announced a date change for their upcoming Reserve match versus the Los Angeles Galaxy Reserve
team. The break will give some players a chance to rest, while four players will represent their
country in national team competitions over the Labor Day weekend.
Sporting KC midfielder, Roger Espinoza looks set to miss the upcoming game against the LA Galaxy
over Labor Day weekend. This is because Espinoza has been called up by the Honduran national team
for a pair of friendlies against Colombia and Paraguay. Honduras starts this international break
with a game in New York at Red Bull Arena against Colombia on the 3rd of September before heading
down to Honduras for a friendly against Paraguay on the 6th.

It is nearly time for another packed weekend in Major League Soccer. Week 22 is on the book and
not everyone is involved this weekend. Both LA and Kansas City were scheduled originally to play
this weekend but that game was moved to Labor Day (not sure about the reasoning behind the
move).
Sporting KC has officially announced the rescheduled date of their game against the LA Galaxy. The
game was supposed to take place on August 13th and be broadcasted on FSC. But with the announcement
of Farm Aid coming to LiveSTRONG Sporting Park, KC had to move their game against David Beckham,
Landon Donovan, and the rest of the Galaxy to September 5th.
