Today, our tifo series swings to Asia for the first time.
We check out Japanese fans at the Nabisco Cup (also known as the J-League Cup) final between
Kawasaki Frontale and FC Tokyo, held earlier this week.
This video is a little slow to get going, but there's some gorgeous colour, some impressive
banners, and generally well choreographed displays from supporters of both teams.

There were a few continental milestones hit in 1988 with respect to the World Club Rankings annual
rankings. One was a last, one was a first. The last was for CONMEBOL. Argentina's Newell's Old Boys
became the final South American club to date to finish atop the World Club Rankings annual chart.

Steven Defour's name was in the news lately when Everton bid for the Stand
Liege star. But the bid was turned down. Standard wanted 15 million euros.
At 16 years old, Defour started playing for KV Mechelen, a lower division club in Belgium. He
then moved to Genk at age 17. Then on 2006, he signed a five year contract with Standard Liege.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder scored Cercle Brugge's first goal in today's 2-1 victory over
KV Mechelen. He has returned to Belgium, his native country, after playing in Holland and Scotland.
From 2002-2005, he was a member of Feyenoord scoring 34 goals in 90 league matches.
He then moved to Scotland and competed at the Ibrox for Rangers.
