Man United keeper Tomasz Kuszczak has taken a swipe at fellow United keeper Edwin Van Der Sar. Kuszczak has said that he goes to United's number one Van Der Sar to ask him for advice but he is only rejected.

In a routine chat with MUTV this week, Manchester United backup goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak said the following:

"To be honest, I must say this and Edwin doesn't like this too much for sure, but he doesn't help me too much.

Tomasz Kuszczak has stupidly given an interview with MUTV criticising Edwin Van der Sar for not helping him enough and suggesting that the Dutch goalie doesn't like him.

Oh dear.

Following Manchester United's 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow, Alex Ferguson took time to single out the opposition's goalkeeper; remarking that the 23 Russian shot stopper was ‘outstanding'.

I'm not sure if Ferguson saw something I didn't but over the course of the ninety minutes, it seems staggering that the young goalkeeper deserved such high praise.

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Ben Foster will remain our first choice keeper in the absence of Edwin Van der Sar, despite Tomasz Kuszczak being chosen for our cup games against Wolves and Wolfsburg.

"Tomasz Kuszczak produced a very good performance against Wolves last week and we felt he deserved to play another game," Ferguson said.

It's always a good sign seeing a young English striker score a goal like that. A piece of magic was needed as the game looked as if it could go into extra time as Wolves had fought hard throughout the game.

Danny Welbeck has huge potential. Terrific one-two, terrific finish. It was obvious that Man Utd were going to field a weaker side from the Carling Cup and didn't play too badly however there is room for improvement with some of these fringe players.

It was a great weekend for Manchester United. Not so much for its current stopper, Ben Foster. Edwin Van der Sar's stand-in keeper has not impressed at United so far as he had a sub-par performance against their city rivals. United have released a list of their Champions' League squad members, and importantly, Owen Hargreaves is a part of it. The 25-man squad also includes Kiko Macheda, Gabriel Obertan and Darron Gibson. So United took on Valencia in a match that I (for some reason) thought was supposed to be the Testimonial for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Perhaps not? Regardless, a rather young United side managed to knock two past their Spanish counterparts and managed to look rather convincing in the process.

Second half goals from Wayne Rooney and Tom Cleverley (both assisted by a once again impressive Antonio Valencia) gave United the victory, and made me even more excited about this Sunday's Charity Shield match against Chelsea.
