What do you want from transfer Santa this Christmas?

Harry Redknapp has hinted at another quiet January for Spurs fans but is this just a smokescreen or will the dealings at White Hart Lane next month really mirror those of 2011?

In goal, there are no immediate problems but if Heurelho Gomes does leave, it may make sense to look for a permanent replacement for Brad Friedel now, rather than later.

Kuszczak begs for his freedom

Poor old Tommy Kuszczak the Polish goalkeeper has slipped down the pecking order at Manchester United, and now finds himself behind David De Gea, Anders Lindegaard and even Ben Amos.

Eager to stake a claim for a place in the Polish squad for the Euro 2012 finals, Kuszczak was hoping to move to Leeds United on loan until the end of year, but according to the 29-year-old, Sir Alex Ferguson blocked the move.

'Slave' Kuszczak has made his last United blunder by crossing Fergie

You would think that after all the reminiscing about Sir Alex Ferguson's 25 years, Tomasz Kuszczak would have realised the golden rule at Old Trafford. No-one crosses Fergie. Paul Ince, Jaap Stam, David Beckham, Gabriel Heinze, Ruud van Nistelrooy even Roy Keane in the end made that mistake.

Manchester United have secured a record 19th English title, and 12th of the Premier League era, with a 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn took the lead in the first half when Kuszczak, who was really shaky all afternoon, failed to gather a harmless-looking cross from Emerton. He could only touch the ball out to the right where Martin Olsson was on hand to fire it back across goal to Emerton who clinically dispatched it into the bottom corner of the net.

Lineups are in:

Manchester United: Starters: Van der Sar, Rafael, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Fabio, Brown, O'Shea, Gibson, Rooney, HernandezBench: Kuszczak, Giggs, Scholes, Obertan, King, Valencia, Berbatov

Well, the only real surprises are Gibbs coming in for Clichy not sure if it's because of injury (he's not on the bench, either) or because Clichy isn't in the best run of form, but I'm not too worried about that Gibbs has been quite good for the most part this season and will do fine.

This season has been one of workmanship, a season where Manchester United have been less entertaining than normal and more anchored, not hitting the breathtaking heights of previous incarnations, but getting the job done nonetheless.

Surprising it may seem that we are still unbeaten in the Premier League, and if history is anything to go by this record will stay intact for another week at least as Tottenham Hotspur haven't triumphed over United for just less than ten years.

Since United officially signed 26-year-old Danish goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard on January 6th. It has put the number two spot, soon to be number one spot, up for grabs.

Kuszczak has been waiting for this opportunity since 2007, and says he is ready to succeed Van der Sar, but I'm not sure he is too confident based on his interview with the Manchester evening news.
