Man United keeper
Tomasz Kuszczak has taken a swipe at fellow United keeper
Edwin
Van Der Sar. Kuszczak has said that he goes to United's number one Van Der Sar to ask him for
advice but he is only rejected.
If this is true, then I can understand why Kuszczak is frustrated, but is it really the best thing
to go to the papers?

In a routine chat with MUTV this week, Manchester United backup goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak said
the following:
"To be honest, I must say this and Edwin doesn't like this too much for sure, but he doesn't
help me too much.
"I have told him a few times already to give me some more advice because he's got more
experience and got many more games under his belt.

Tomasz Kuszczak (left) is a reserve goalkeeper for Manchester United.
Recently he made all the headlines for calling the Old Trafford No. 1 'keeper Edwin van der Sar
(right) selfish, damn selfish. It's creating a bit of a controversy in England, and I'm pretty sure
it's because Kuszczak needed to try to find a way to become relevant.

It seems staying too much in Van Der Sar's shadow has taken a toll on Kuszczak and eventually
tension has settled down between the two keepers, although Sir Alex has tried to play down the
incident after Kuszczak was quoted on an interview with MUTV as: To be honest, I must say this and

Tomasz Kuszczak has stupidly given an interview with MUTV criticising Edwin Van der Sar for not
helping him enough and suggesting that the Dutch goalie doesn't like him.
Oh dear.
"I must say this, Edwin doesn't help me. Maybe he doesn't like me," said Kuszczak.
"He's got more experience and many more games under his belt.

Following Manchester United's 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow, Alex Ferguson took time to single out
the opposition's goalkeeper; remarking that the 23 Russian shot stopper was ‘outstanding'.
I'm not sure if Ferguson saw something I didn't but over the course of the ninety minutes, it
seems staggering that the young goalkeeper deserved such high praise.

United have got off to a good start to the season. We have suffered one defeat to Burnley and a
draw to Sunderland, other than that we have won every single game we have played in all
competitions. With a win tonight, United could be all but qualified for the next round of the
Champions League.

Man United manager
Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that keeper
Ben Foster will
be recalled to play Sunderland this weekend. Foster didn't play in yesterday's Champions League
match against Wolfsburg. This led to speculation that Foster had been dropped because of his form,
even though he kept a clean sheet against Stoke.

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Ben Foster will remain our first choice keeper in the
absence of Edwin Van der Sar, despite Tomasz Kuszczak being chosen for our cup games against Wolves
and Wolfsburg.
"Tomasz Kuszczak produced a very good performance against Wolves last week and we felt he
deserved to play another game," Ferguson said.

It's always a good sign seeing a young English striker score a goal like that. A piece of magic
was needed as the game looked as if it could go into extra time as Wolves had fought hard
throughout the game.
Danny Welbeck has huge potential. Terrific one-two, terrific finish. It was obvious that Man Utd
were going to field a weaker side from the Carling Cup and didn't play too badly however there is
room for improvement with some of these fringe players.

It was a great weekend for Manchester United. Not so much for its current stopper, Ben Foster.Â
Edwin Van der Sar's stand-in keeper has not impressed at United so far as he had a sub-par
performance against their city rivals. Had it not been for Michael Owen's late winner, Foster
would've been ripped apart by Sir Alex Ferguson.

I'm sure many of us are still riding high on the peak of cloud nine following the last gasp
events of Sunday afternoon and who in their right mind can blame us! In fairness, you could even be
forgiven for allowing this evening's fixture against Wolves to have slipped the mind and altogether
dipped off the radar.

United have released a list of their Champions' League squad members, and importantly, Owen
Hargreaves is a part of it. The 25-man squad also includes Kiko Macheda, Gabriel Obertan and Darron
Gibson. However, Anderson has been relegated to the secondary list of additional 10 members which
includes Welbeck and Evans.

The Serbian winger featured heavily in our pre-season but hasn't played for United since the
friendly at Old Trafford at the beginning of August.

The Charity Shield illustrated several points of concern for EPL FF managers looking to Man Utd
defenders, and has started to turn decisions on players into something of a headache. Vidic has
been ruled out for up to two weeks with a calf injury, Ben Foster had some shaky moments in goal
which may have opened the door for Kuszczak.

Interesting to see Chelsea line up with Ivanovic starting at right back with no apparent injury to
Bosignwa. Combine that with Bayern Munich's pursuit of Bosingwa over the summer (that was never
really shouted down by anyone at Chelsea) and we might have a bargain defender in the making.
Zhirkov doesn't even make the bench as he recovers from a knee injury.

What, me Worry? The best team in England is just getting weaker by the day this summer. Surely, every football fan

So United took on Valencia in a match that I (for some reason) thought was supposed to be the
Testimonial for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Perhaps not? Regardless, a rather young United side managed
to knock two past their Spanish counterparts and managed to look rather convincing in the
process.
Second half goals from Wayne Rooney and Tom Cleverley (both assisted by a once again impressive
Antonio Valencia) gave United the victory, and made me even more excited about this Sunday's
Charity Shield match against Chelsea.

Freshly spashing around the news headlines at the moment, Edwin Van der Sar is out for two months
