Newcastle were treated to a five star performance from Spurs as we despatched five goals without
reply. The first came after some quick passing between Bale and Ade, the latter sending a cross
along the six yard box, Benny unmarked on the far side, steamed in and blasted the ball into the
net. 1-0
The second goal came after Krancjar controlled the ball with a neat touch and sent Ade down the
wing.
James Perch has not had a successful career since he was signed from Nottingham Forest in the
summer of 2010. Perch And Krul delighted after beating Red Devils 3-0 Perch was a Newcastle
target in the previous January but Nottingham Forest wouldn't let him go at that time. But
it seems that since Alan Pardew has arrived at the club, the new manager took a liking to the

The beast from the North East
Prologue: Salvador, up in northern Brazil, is so unlike Rio and Sao Paulo, the rest of the
country refers to Bahiaians rudely as "slow". As I trudged through the late afternoon sun looking
for the Newcastle Man Utd game, it struck me that the heat may have something to do with it.
Goals:Agger (og) 25'
Bellamy 29' 67'
Gerrard 78'
Another tepid, frustrating, harsh 1-1 at Anfield. Until Gerrard came on at the hour mark.
As usual, Liverpool were the better side from the start, but neither keeper had a save to make in
the first half. More often than not, Liverpool's possession ended at the edge of the final third,
mainly with shots from distance charged down by Newcastle defenders or crosses just too high/far
for Carroll.
Two goals from Craig Bellamy and one from Steven Gerrard was enough for Liverpool tonight, as
they beat Newcastle 3-1 in a tight match at Anfield tonight.
It was the first time Liverpool had scored three goals in a match since the August 27 win over
Bolton and ended a spell where Liverpool had drawn four of its previous five home matches.

interview, Newcastle's manager says "there are certain balls you can't defend against Andy Carroll,
because if the delivery is right and he gets at them in a certain angle there's nothing you can
do.
The Newcastle United lineup to face Swansea City is as follows:
Krul; Simpson, Perch, Coloccini (c), Santon; Obertan, Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez; Best, Ba.
There are returns to the Newcastle team for Coloccini and Tiote.
The subs are: Harper, Williamson, Abeid, Vuckic, Ben Arfa, Sammy Ameobi, Shola Ameobi.
In my two decades as Newcastle fan I have had worse Christmases, tucking into my Turkey in 2008
whilst languishing four points above the relegation zone springs immediately to mind. This was made
all the worse by having to bypass drinking my despair away due to a nice early drive to Wigan the
next morning.
Danny Simpson is under pressure from manager Alan Pardew to sign his new contract at Newcastle.
Thanks pal Krul congratulates Simpson after amazing goal line clearance It's a five year deal
that's on the table for him, but he has so far refused to sign it, as he looks for improved
terms, but thankfully the contract situation has not affected the [.
In isolation that was the archetypal Premier League game: even steven, home team edges owing to
a few things here and there. In the context of our season so far it's deflating. We never
expect to win away, but Newcastle are a team going in the wrong direction, who played extra time in
midweek, and who were there to be beaten.
Ryan Taylor is having his time in the sun, after that wonderful goal he scored after 62 minutes
that won the game at Sunderland on Saturday. Krul with super hero Taylor after the game Krul wasn't
too shabby either! It was an unexpected win, especially after Newcastle struggled so much in the
first half, [.
An early return for Arsene Wenger's side after our last meeting ended up, deservedly, with a share
of the spoils after Newcastle came back from 4 goals down a first in Premier League history. A late

Here are the highlights of the game yesterday against Fiorentina, and it's a good video made by
some supporters actually at the game. You can see that the two Newcastle goalkeepers, Krul and
Forster. made some very good saves, and the Newcastle side looked more than decent.
There's nobody knows what it's like being a second choice goalkeeper than Steve Harper. Steve
Harper - big challenge this pre-season And Steve will hold that experience in good stead when he

will be Newcastle's number one [.
One Carlos Tevez (and two goals) forced a barn door re-think on my part. That's not entirely true.
Your comments and a viewing of the Premier League Review Show also "helped". I had to grab Carlito.
I'm not convinced he'll play at Bolton, but I wanted the option. So out went Ba and Hennessey with
Carson coming in as an enabling keeper.
Three weeks to go. The last Fantasy Premier League Double Gameweek of the season. And the Premier
