David Beckham rolled back the clock on Saturday night with a stunning 35-yard goal against the Portland Timbers in a 5-3 LA Galaxy win

The former England star opened the scoring for LA with a stunning striker from 35 yards to cancel our former Rangers striker Kris Boyd's opener:

Beckham then put the Galaxy ahead four minutes later with a trademark free-kick, Landon Donovan made it 3-1 from the penalty spot three minutes later and Robbie Keane got in on the act just a minute after that.

Saturday night's match didn't start out the way the LA Galaxy would have wanted, but the rest of the night could not have gone much better.

The Galaxy shook off an early Kris Boyd goal by rattling off four unanswered goals in just nine minutes on their way to a 5-3 victory over the Portland Timbers at Jeld-Wen Field on Saturday night.

The Portland TImbers continue to adjust their roster, as they acquire a defensive back from Colorado. Kosuke Kimura, a wing defender, was added to the Timbers roster today in exchange for allocation money and an international roster spot. Kimura will join the team as soon as possible, and could be eligible for the Timbers next match, a road game against Real Salt Lake.

The Portland Timbers defeated the Colorado Rapids with a score of 1 to nil on Friday, August 31. The moon was full, the breeze was up and Kosuke Kimura's shirt was off.

The Colorado Rapids inability to maintain shape continued to haunt the squad on Saturday as they dug a two-goal first half deficit before rallying to tie Sporting Kansas City 2-2.

While the second-half heroics with goals from Tyrone Marshall and Kosuke Kimura made it feel like a win, it wasn't.

Teal Bunbury opened his account with two goals against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, but even that was not enough to put a halt to Sporting Kansas City's winless streak.

The Rapids rallied from a pair of early first-half strikes from Bunbury and picked up a point with a 2-2 draw at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, extending Sporting KC's winless run to four games.

If the boot of Omar Cummings tells anything about the Colorado Rapids season, then things are off to a promising start.

Cummings scored in the 58th minute, his second tally in four games this season, as the Rapids beat the Chicago Fire 2-0 in Commerce City.

With the win, the Rapids improved to 3-1 on the season.

Sporting KC are back to business with a quick turnaround as they take on the Colorado Rapids in the second leg of their Eastern Conference semifinal series at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see how Colorado comes out for this game. Three players that started the game in Colorado are now done for the season, Drew Moor, Caleb Folan, and Kosuke Kimura all left the game with injuries.

The Colorado Rapids' hopes of defending its MLS title are still alive, and the club can thank Omar Cummings for that.

Cummings scored his first goal in nearly three months to help lift the Rapids to a 1-0 win over the Columbus Crew in a wild card playoff match at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Thursday night.

In "the other wild card" game, two offensive lineman type soccer clubs come together, again.

The Colorado Rapids entered Tuesday night sitting atop their CONCACAF Champions League group with a chance to move themselves in pole position for a quarterfinal place.

Santos Laguna had other plans.

The visitors from Mexico turned Dick's Sporting Goods Park into their own personal playground, demolishing a make-shift Rapids defense with speedy wing play and precise passing on their way to a 4-1 victory.

Chance after chance, run after run, the Colorado Rapids thwarted Real España of Honduras Tuesday night in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Isidro Metapan and the Colorado Rapids combined for five goals on Wednesday night, but it was a brace from Macoumba Kandji that made the difference in the home side's first CONCACAF Champions League match.

Kandji's goals, in the 16th minute and first-half stoppage time, rescued a discombobulated Rapids side and paved the way for Andre Akpan's second half winner at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

The Rapids are on the road this week, some of them on a very long road trip, in San Jose. Last time these two teams met a great Kosuke Kimura goal gave the Rapids the win and, more importantly, the Eastern Conference Championship en rout to their MLS Cup victory. I think we can expect the Earthquakes to be looking for some revenge after that loss.

The Colorado Rapids have only four home games remaining in the MLS regular season, and as the dates dwindle, The Tuesday List takes a look at how the roster has changed since the team moved to Dick's Sporting Goods Park for the 2007 season.

Looking at the 2011 roster, we go back in time to who was here in each of the previous seasons.

On Monday, the Revolution's Darrius Barnes and Zak Boggs were named as finalists for year-end MLS awards for their efforts on and off the field in 2011.

Barnes is a finalist for the XBOX 360 Fair Play Award, which is given to the MLS player who exemplifies the meaning of sportsmanship. In 2011, the versatile defender, who split time across the backline in 28 games, committed only 14 fouls on the season and was cautioned just once.
