Blues Brothers...
All blessed with good footballing names, Rio, Cole and Jay Dasilva are the latest youngsters to
be snapped up by the big boys, after the Luton Town youth players were signed up by Chelsea, each
for a five-figure sum.
After a very disappointing first half against Liverpool and a distinct lack of cutting edge in
the 2nd half, Wigan away is probably one of the best places to go right now for a game to build up
your confidence again. I mean that with respect of course, but there is no denying that Wigan
aren't having a great season.
Kolo and his brother will soon meet up with fellow academy-ites Kalou, Eboue and Gervinho at the
African Cup of Nations in .
When Gervinho, Salomon Kalou, Emmanuel Eboué and the brothers Touré convene in for the African
Cup of Nations tournament to play for the Ivory Coast, it's a high school reunion of sorts.
The 2012 African Cup Of Nations is set to begin on the 21st of January until the 12th of
February, so we thought with not long to go it may be worthwhile figuring out which teams are going
to be most affected by players departing for this competition.
Players Involved In The African Cup Of Nations
Starting with the teams at the top end of the Premier League, Biram Diouf of Senegal appears to
be the only Manchester United player affected which isn't likely to affect the club much at all as
he is probably their 6th choice striker.

"I am sorry but it is true. I like quiet music like that. All that loud music with all the
volume gives me a pain in the head. Sometimes (my brother) Kolo tells me, 'Yaya, you're stupid. You
are big and strong and when people see you on the field or on the street they will be scared of
you, so why are you listening to this silly music?
Kolo Touré doesn't want his team to lose focus on the day-to-day battle if his current club is
going to match the unbeaten Arsenal season in 2003-04.
Touré, who was part of the team that knocked Arsenal out of the Carling Cup on Tuesday, had
this to say about going unbeaten.
"We started very well but now we just need to forget about it.

Ronald and Frank De Boer, Kolo and Yaya Touré, Gary and Phil Neville and erm, John and Paul
Terry all brothers who made it to the very highest level of football.
Well over in St Petersburg, the seven-year-old twin sons of Zenit and Portugal midfielder Danny
are already impressing on the pitch for the Zenit boys team.
Manchester City have fined defender Kolo Toure six weeks wages, £740,000, for failing a drug
earlier this year.
Toure was handed a six-month ban by the FA in May, backdated to March 2, after he tested
positive for a prohibited substance.
Toure claimed the positive test came as a result of taking his wife's diet pills, and he made
his return to the City line-up in September.
Kolo Touré's move to Manchester City in 2009 led to him being labelled as a money-grabber and as a
player who failed to repay Wenger's trust in him since his arrival at the club in 2002, and it now
seems that the risk he took didn't pay off. As well as finding himself second choice [...]
Good morning from a much wetter than usual, but not as wet as when I went to bed, Dublin. It all
got a bit mental here yesterday evening. Heavy rain, rivers bursting their banks, a strange man
rounding up two of every animal. Where I live turned from a quiet road into a 2 foot deep
river.
Thankfully everything outside seems to be back to normal now, if a little damp, so we can look
ahead to tonight's Carling Cup game against Bolton.

Man City's roving colossus Yaya Toure believes that his side are well on their way to surpassing
Barcelona within the next couple of years, such is their current rate of expansion.
Toure told The Sun:
"You cannot compare Barcelona with City right now because Barca are at the top and have
top-quality players.
MANCHESTER, England Carlos Tevez scored twice as Manchester City survived a late fightback to beat
Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-3 to move to the top of the English Premier League today. The Argentinian
international Tevez struck his 14th and 15th goals of the season while Ivory Coast brothers Kolo
and Yaya Toure both netted as City [.
A massive game tonight and one which draws a number of contrasts between the two teams.
City are big, physical and expensively assembled. Arsenal smaller, lighter and put together in a
much more prudent fashion. During his press conference yesterday Arsene was asked about how he felt
about the way City had become a Premier League force and said:
I personally am a big fan of the way we do it, so I try to be successful with the way we do
it.
Some handbags reported in the Man City training grounds between former Arsenal mates, Adebayor
and Kolo Toure.
The reports of Edin Dzeko arriving at the Eastlands has further endangered Adebayor's status at
City. The disgruntled striker is probably wishing he had joined AC Milan when he had the
opportunity.
