21.01.2012 - Después de 8 meses (21.05.2011, tres de Aguero) el Atlético de Madrid vuelve
a ganar de visitante. Pasaron nevadas, lluvias, soles, lunas, decepciones, jugadores y
Bad news for Brazil's U-20s as Mano Menezes jets in to oversee things in Colombia
Brazil take on Spain this evening for a place in the semi-finals of the Under-20 World Cup in
Colombia.
Ney Franco is expected to have São Paulo forward Henrique playing upfront alongside club teammate
Willian.
The U-20 World Cup officially kicked off over the weekend and the
ninos of La Roja (Spain) kicked off their campaign with a neat 4-1
victory over the Costa Ricans. Sergio Canales and Daniel Pacheco
are among the names representing Spain in the tournament along with Espanyol's Álvaro
Vázquez.
Carlos Tevez and Manchester City have become the subject of a Greek match-fixing
scandal.
A Greek court is examining evidence that Manchester City's Europa League game against Greek club
Aris Thessaloniki in February was the target of an illegal betting scandal.
After a winless month of May the Dynamo move on to June, a month where they'll play four matches
and will be missing some key players thanks to the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The month kicks off tomorrow
night on the west coast as the Dynamo face the San Jose Earthquakes, a team also hit hard by the
Gold Cup.
Yesterday was certainly an eventful Memorial Day for many MLS fans as two teams decided to ditch
their respective head coaches. Our friendly neighbors to the north, the Vancouver Whitecaps, bid
adieu to their long time USL coach Teitur Thordarson and the Chicago Fire opted to seek out a
different direction than where Carlos de los Cobos was taking the team.

Koke's Houston Dynamo career came and went in a matter of weeks.
The Spanish striker reportedly asked to be released from his contract with the club and has left
Houston, presumably to rejoin Aris in Greece -- where he starred before coming to MLS -- according
to comments made on his Facebook page.
Yes, it's Tuesday, but since yesterday was a holiday you'll have to forgive me for moving my
usual Monday morning post to today. I'm sure you won't mind since there was enough news over the
past couple days to prove that while the country was enjoying the holiday weekend, business moved
along as usual in MLS.
GOALS FINALLY FLOWING FOR UNIONOne of six times Union celebrated on Saturday.Every time someone has dared praise Philadelphia Union this year, it's been met with the same
opposition - "it won't last" and "they can't score goals". Well guess what? It is lasting, and the
goals are beginning to flow.
Every time the New York Red Bulls and Houston Dynamo get together during the season or the
playoffs, something crazy happens. When you are thinking for once it was going to be a quiet game,
you aren't thinking things through. It happened again at Robertson Stadium as the Red Bulls found a
way to score early and late in the match.
The Galaxy defeated Chivas USA last night 1-0 behind a Chad Barrett goal in the 26th minute.
Barrett was unmarked in the 18 and flicked a nice header passed Dan Kennedy thanks to a perfectly
placed free kick by David Beckham. The win extends the Galaxy's dominance over Chivas USA to nine
straight without a loss.
Following the Houston Dynamo's 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps this past Sunday, I caught
a bit of Glenn Davis' post-match radio show in which he made some comments indicating he was pretty
certain there would be some Dynamo roster changes before the close of the MLS transfer window.
Apparently, Davis made a few other comments earlier this week that got the folks at Dynamo Theory
and SBNation to start snooping around.
