Wherever Arsenal finish in each competition this season, one thing that is almost certain is the continuation of the attention paid to Robin Van Persie as supposedly the Gunners' main source of success. 13th of September 2011 seemed like such a long ago now. Both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund were really struggling at that time. A little over 2 months since both teams played out a 1-1 draw at Signal Iduna Park and pretty much everything happened in between these 2 games.

Bayern signing Jupp Heynckes was the best thing to happen to Toni Kroos. The prototypical wunderkind to come out of Germany's reformed youth system, needed Heynckes to pop up at Leverkusen, to finally play his long awaited breakthrough season in the Bundesliga. Now that the two are reunited at Bayern, he could well establish himself at the top of German football, both at Bayern and the German national team.
