Roma relieved all pressure on their previously under-fire boss Luis Enrique with a Sunday evening
victory at Napoli's San Paolo. Lining-up without regulars Miralem Pjanic, Fernando Gago and Simon
Kjaer, the Giallorossi took the lead after just three minutes. Erik Lamela's cross deflected off
Salvatore Aronica and bounced over the line after striking ‘keeper Morgan De Sanctis' arm: a
freak goal,.

Whilst watching this behind the scenes video of Roma's new merch catalogue, we get an
unfortunate look at the conundrum that is Osvaldo's hair.
There. We said it. The hard part is out of the way.
The club did take our delicate sensibilities into consideration and also populated their promo
with Lamela's torso, Baby Bojan's mouth pillows and a sizzling Simon Kjaer to make up for up
it.
Injuries never seems to take a break in disturbing Michael Owen's career as another bad news
arrives for the player after Manchester United medical team confirmed that the latest injury the
striker suffered will force him to rest for about six weeks.
This report rises the speculation about Owen's future as talks of his retirement rings louder
especially since there's a big chance that he won't feature much again this season, despite the
fact he might be able to return on Boxing day.
Following the departure of Steve Cotterill to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest, Portsmouth
have finally confirmed the latest appointment on the managerial merry-go round by naming West Brom
First Team Coach Michael Appleton as Cotterill's successor. The 35 year old Appleton has signed a
three and a half year deal at Fratton Park to secure his [.
This will not be an Arsenal related post. It's the Interlull and while there's been sufficient
topic of discussion to go about, I felt it would be nice to take a break and write about other
things for a change. Was suggested this wonderful site by WengerBoy1 on twitter and there's some
wonderful statistics on there.
Nicklas Bendtner has been in fine form for club and country, with assist and goals whilst
representing both, N.B-52 has been put out on loan to the North-East of England to the Stadium Of
Light, Sunderland, who have had an indifferent start to the season.
Denmark face Sweden on 11th November @ the Parken stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark.
I am starting to become a bit concerned at how poor my predictions have been so far this season,
and this weekend's Rome Derby is no exception. But I am, however. prepared to give myself something
of a mulligan for my most recent failure.
At the end of the preview I wrote last week, I managed to sneak in a little caveat concerning my
feeling that Roma would win.
As the match between Portugal + Denmark comes closer, both teams have been fired questions by
the media and other sections. Its a vital match for Denmark & obviously aswell for N.B-52, talented
players should be playing on the biggest stage and thats where NB and some of the other crop of
young players such as Christian Eriksen and Simon Kjaer will be fighting to be come tomorrow
evening at the Parken stadium, Copenhagen.
N.B-52 will be starting in Denmark's vitally important clash with Cyprus on Friday evening @ the
GSP Stadium in Nicosia @ 19.30PM. The Dane's then face Portugal in Parken @ 19:15, Copenhagen
next Tuesday evening. Denmark will be missing key players such as talented attacking Ajax full
back N.

Apparently, 28,00o Danish women suffer domestic violence at the hands of their partners a
staggering statistic that Simon Kjaer, Daniel Agger and Thomas Sorensen have made a focal point in
the above video, which was produced to draw attention and awareness to the issue.
This summer transfer window has been fairly generic. We've seen Fabregas go to Barcelona, Atletico
Madrid lose De Gea, Aguero and Forlan, along with a myriad of other deals which we all expected and
knew were going to happen. There have been very few big surprises regarding signings, and instead
we mostly got what we were waiting for as football/soccer fans.
So, it went to the last minute but featured player Nicklas Bendtner is gonna be playing week
in-week out in the English Barclays Premiership for the Black Cats', Sunderland Afc. This move is
only a positive thing for Nicklas and to all his supporters. Just as the Danish manager Morten
Olsen said the most important thing for NB is to get solid playing time in a highly competitive
league.

Somebody needs to explain to what is going on at Newcastle United. Since they sold Andy Carroll
on January the club has lurched from one crisis to another. The news today that Newcastle had
released its Player of the Year who still has twelve months left on his contract sounds like a
petulant move by Mike Ashley.
When Kenny Dalglish took over in January, there were many eager to portray him as a footballing
dinosaur who had lost touch with the game after a decade out. This was a sentimental choice, we
were told, and he would soon be found out.
As Liverpool improved beyond recognition in the following months, those who had been critical slunk
away.

Simon Kjaer's agent has told suitors of the player to direct their interest to Wolfsburg if they
wish to make an offer.
The Danish international has been a long-term target for a number of Barclays Premier League clubs,
but moved to the Bundesliga instead of England last summer following a successful World Cup.
Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten is claiming that Kenny Dalglish and Damien Comolli are planning to
make a mad dash for Germany to personally secure the signature of Wolfsburg star Simon Kjaer.
Dalglish reportedly sees Kjaer as perfect for the center half position at Liverpool.
The defender has been rated one of the top on his kind in the Bundesliga, but with Wolfsburg
currently struggling and sitting third last on the table and facing relegation, speculation is
growing that the Danish international is set to make an exit.

Jose Mourinho hasn't even finished up his first season with Real Madrid, but the journeyman
manager is already speculating as to where he'll end up next.
According to the Telegraph, the Portuguese manager said that his next job will be as
manager of an English club.
Liverpool continues to be linked with defender Simon Kjaer despite having a January bid rejected,
according to reports.
The Danish international was being monitored by a number of English clubs in the summer before
moving to the Bundesliga, and again in January. It was Liverpool who moved for the 21-year-old
though, with German media outlets claiming a bid from Kenny Dalglish was rejected.
Sam Allardyce has said thanks but thanks to West Brom as he is not interested in replacing
Roberto Di Matteo as Baggies manager.
Allardyce, who is a former West Brom player, coach and assistant manager was reported to top of
the wanted list at the Hawthorns.
Albion operate with a system in which the head coach works under a sporting and technical
director, Dan Ashworth, a hierachy that Allardyce does not like as be the manager should have the
final say on all footballing matters.
Nicklas Bendtner has been selected in the Denmark 21- squad for their upcoming game this
Wednesday Vs England @ the Parken Stadium, Copenhagen, Viewers in England can catch the game on ITV
1, It should be an interesting game with NB52 expected to start.
The squad is as follows . . .
The David Luiz transfer to Chelsea has gained momentum in recent times and more or less came to a
head over the weekend. Speaking after we beat Bolton 4-0 last night, Carlo Ancelotti was asked
about the imminent signing of the player and for the first time admitted that we are trying to sign
him and that he would be the only player we are looking to bring into the club in this January
transfer window.
David Luiz and Chelsea's reported interest has taken many of the recent headlines but it seems that
Chelsea have become frustrated at Benfica's unwillingness to budge on their asking price for the
player. So in light of the situation it seems that Carlo has persuaded the club to take an interest
in Simon Kjaer of Wolfsburg.

"Let's waste time, chasing Kjaers..."
Several reports emanating from Germany (via the Daily Mail) this morning are suggesting that
Danish centre-half Simon Kjaer, who only joined Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg a couple of months ago,
is set for a shock £12.
Morning all. Throughout January Soccerlens is going to be bringing you a daily round-up
of the morning's various goings-on. Be it juicy morsels of spurious transfer gossip or real, actual
bona fide news, rest assured, we'll have it covered.
Here's this morning's batch.
Chasing Kjaers.
Newcaslte United have completed the signing of former Marsellie player Hatem Ben Arfa
for an undisclosed fee...
The former Newcastle loanee is currently nursing a broken leg which happened against
Manchester City in September. As a result he has only played four games since joining the club,
but this was all that was needed to impress the manager.
