Teenage Swindon goalkeeper Jamie Stephens is to spend next week training with Premier League side Liverpool.
The 16-year-old has been invited for a stint at the Reds' Kirkby Academy after impressing scouts from the Anfield outfit.

'April Start' For New Liverpool Stadium, Says Council

Work on Liverpool's new stadium in Stanley Park could begin as early as April 2010, the leader of Liverpool City Council has told the BBC.
Warren Bradley said Liverpool have told the council they are "very close now to securing the finances".

I recently had the chance to take a tour of Real Madrid's home at the Bernebau and this reminded me how important a stadium is to fans not just as a venue that can intimidate the opposition but also as a source of their identity with the club.

The issue of a shared stadium for Liverpool and Everton is on the agenda again after Everton had their stadium plans turned down.

In 2009 the Merseyside derby represented emerging opportunities for both Liverpool clubs, and all four encounters (two in the league, two in the FA Cup) produced gritty football. Ultimately Liverpool drove deep into Europe and pushed Manchester United all the way to the Premier League finish line, while Everton capped another successful campaign by reaching the FA Cup Final and finishing fifth in the league.
