Teenage Swindon goalkeeper Jamie Stephens is to spend next week training with Premier League side
Liverpool.
The 16-year-old has been invited for a stint at the Reds' Kirkby Academy after impressing scouts
from the Anfield outfit.
Stephens' potential was spotted during his appearances for the Robins' youth team and he will now
rub shoulders with Liverpool's emerging talent.

A goal eight minutes from time saw Wolves gain revenge for their FA Youth Cup defeat as they beat
Liverpool Under-18s 2-1 at the Kirkby Academy on Saturday morning.
Lauri Dalla Valle thought he had earned Rodolfo Borrell's side a share of the spoils with a first
half equaliser, but Andre Landall's finish from a right-wing cross saw the side from the Black
Country take the three points.

Work on Liverpool's new stadium in Stanley Park could begin as early as April 2010, the leader of
Liverpool City Council has told the BBC.
Warren Bradley said Liverpool have told the council they are "very close now to securing the
finances".
He added it would be "in April that hopefully, fingers crossed, we'll see some activity on Stanley
Park".

Everton will enter into new talks with Liverpool City Council over a new stadium. A date of 11
January has been set aside for the two sides to meet following the rejection of a planning
application for a new stadium in Kirkby.
That proposed £400m development of a 50,000-seater stadium, in partnership with Tesco, collapsed
last month.

I recently had the chance to take a tour of Real Madrid's home at the Bernebau and this reminded
me how important a stadium is to fans not just as a venue that can intimidate the opposition but
also as a source of their identity with the club.

Liverpool have rejected the chance to share a super-stadium with Everton.
Sunday Mirror Sport can reveal that Liverpool owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett will not accept a
proposal from Blues chief executive Robert Elstone that the Merseyside rivals should ground
share.
A senior Anfield source said: "There is absolutely no chance that Liverpool will be sharing a
stadium with Everton.

Aston Villa youngster Isaiah Osbourne has been arrested during training on suspicion of conspiracy
to rob, it emerged on Tuesday afternoon.
Everton striker Jose Baxter has been released on bail following his arrest on a drugs charge, it
was confirmed on Tuesday morning. Baxter, 17, was one of three men arrested in Kirkby on Monday on
suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and on suspicion of possessing
counterfeit money.

investment in the club from Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdullah al-Saud, a member of the Saudi
Royal Family, despite reports to the contrary over the weekend.
Hicks and Gillett are in ongoing talks with a number of potential third-party investors as they
seek first to reduce Liverpool's £250 million debt and second to bring in the kind of sizeable
cash injection needed to finance the club's move from Anfield to a long-planned new stadium on

Everton chief executive Robert Elstone has insisted that the global financial crisis
will not stop the Merseyside club from proceeding with plans to build a new stadium at
Kirkby.
According to the Liverpool Daily Post, Elstone said the £78 million in finance required would
be derived from sponsorship and naming rights deals, as well as from the sale of current home
Goodison Park.
