As you may be aware I have spent the last week or so creating word maps out of 2010/2011 match
reports for all of the clubs in the Premier League. I thought I'd use this data in order to create
a team of the season. The rules are simple, the players with the most mentions during the
2010/2011 season in BBC match reports are included in the first XI.

Finally the fateful day has arrived - Survival Sunday. Come this evening we'll all know who will
be joining poor old Scott Parker's West Ham in The Championship and who will be staying up to enjoy
another season of fun and frolics in the Premier League.
I had high expectations from this game and it did not disappoint. Both teams played positively
and created numerous chances. We saw four goals and it could easily have been double that. More
importantly, while the game got a bit tetchy at times, there were no horrific tackles, cynical
elbows, or any other form of cheap tricks that have become commonplace these days.
09:18 Why would anybody buy Fernando Torres? We told you ages ago that he is a mere shadow of
Carlos Tevez. And a sulky one at that. He was merely one of the many money transfers that
oscillated between the offshore bank account of Rafa Benitez and the two main teams in Madrid.
Always a give away is that.
Reina
Kelly Skrtel Agger Johnson
Meireles Poulsen Lucas
Kuyt Torres Jovanovic
Goals:
Torres 3'
Taylor-Fletcher 12'
Campbell 69'
The perfect start, fitting for a new era. Then the old era crept in. It's going to take more than
"good feelings" to fix this side.
