FC Boro 10 August @ 03:42 PM EST
After weeks without a game, Boro are back in action again tomorrow night when they travel down
to Church Road, Hayes to play Hayes & Yeading FC. It will be Stevenage's first ever fixture against
the club formed in 2007, but many fans will have fond memories of the trips to Hayes in the mid to
late nineties, when former Aldershot boss Terry Brown used to manage the Middlesex club.

It's a great time to be a Boro supporter at the moment. The team are playing well and are
winning games consistently. Graham Westley has turned what looked like being an average mid-table
team in November into arguably the best team in the league by April and they have nearly secured
their place in the BSP play-offs.

A big game tonight and another big win for Graham Westley's side. If only we had hit the ground
running back in August!
Stevenage have been superb since December. If the season had begun at the beginning of that
month, then Boro would be comfortable winners of the Blue Square Premier.

Stevenage Borough v Kidderminster Harriers. Tomorrow night's game is arguably bigger than the
FA Trophy Final between the two sides in 2007 at the new Wembley Stadium. Boro are a point away
from Harriers who are currently in the last remaining play-off spot with just two games remaining.
Kiddy drew at the weekend away at Histon, while Stevenage were held by Torquay United in a
frustrating encounter at Broadhall Way.

After a fantastic 24 match unbeaten run it all came to a dramatic end a couple of weeks ago with
defeat at Kidderminster, however bouncing back was key and last Tuesdays impressive 2-1 win against
rivals Cambridge certainly showed that despite having injuries, suspensions and a terrible referee
we are able to compete at the top end of the table.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the Easter period, but I've been very busy. I hope you all
had a great easter. In football terms, it couldn't of got much better on the pitch. After bouncing
back last Tuesday with a win over rivals Cambridge, Graham Westley's side have gone back to where
they were before the defeat at Kidderminster.

Stevenage's hopes of reaching the play-offs are still alive after a 2-1 win over local rivals
Cambridge United at Broadhall Way. A fantastic performance with 10 men gave Graham Westley's side
victory in a frantic encounter. The evening was made even better as fellow play-off contenders
Kidderminster could only draw 2-2 against Forest Green, narrowing the gap between 5th & 6th.

After the 4-2 defeat away at Kidderminster on Saturday, tomorrow night's game has just got that
bit bigger. If playing Cambridge at home isn't a big enough motivation for both players &
supporters anyway, it certainly will be after the weekend's result at Aggborough. Boro need to win.
Anything less and they can kiss goodbye to the Blue Square Premier play-offs for yet another
season.
