When George Burley took over at the helm of the Scottish national side, he knew the scale of the
task ahead of him. He knew, because history tells its own story. Scotland, a team forever on the

In my football life, I have seen my fair share of turncoats, Judases (what is the multiple form
of Judas?), and traitors. As a Celtic supporter, perhaps the most famous turncoat of all time,
Judas Johnstone *spits*, who ironically has some vague management job that apparently does not have
much to do with football after his one stellar year of coaching (haw haw haw, Karma is certainly,
as they say, a bitch.

As my children are half Scottish, I have a family obligation to cheer for any team or sporting hero
from Scotland. Trust me, it doesn't take up much of my time. Well done Chris Hoy for getting 3

Rangers manager Walter Smith wanted a stern test ahead of Tuesday's make-or-break Champions League
qualifier against FBK Kaunas - and Liverpool were happy to oblige by handing out a 4-0 thrashing in
Saturday's friendly at Ibrox.
David Ngog opened his goalscoring account for the Reds after Fernando Torres claimed the only goal

A plaintiff cry from the manager's office at Ibrox: "Trust me and shut up." Walter Smith
has been hurt by the critics as they've lashed out at both Kenny Miller and Smith himself. "If
their reason for not liking him is because he played for Celtic, personally I thought those days
were past. They are for me, so if that's not acceptable to everyone else there's not a great deal I
can do about it,

One of the most interesting headlines to come out of today's newspapers was
the story that head of the London 2012 committee Sebastian Coe has offered the job Team Great
Britain's football coach to Sir Alex Ferguson. Now the idea of having a Great British football team
has long been suggested but the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish Football Associations feel the
idea would threaten their independence within Fifa.

what the Rangers fans want to hear.

Well, it's been a long, arduous week. I feel like I've spent more time searching for videos than
actually writing, which sucks, because I enjoy writing a lot more than I enjoy searching video
engine after video engine and then watching the videos, than determining which one's I feel are
best, and then finally posting them. I'll keep doing it though because it allows me to discover and
evaluate new players.
