It was the first time that the University of Denver women's soccer team played on the turf of
their new stadium.

WOMEN
UNIVERSITY OF DENVER 1, COLGATE 0 2OT: Senior midfielder Kelli Breidenbach scored on an
assist from Mariah Johnston in the second overtime Sunday afternoon in the Colorado Soccer Classic
at Prentup Field in Boulder.

WOMEN
Metro State 1, Colorado State-Pueblo 0: What a big difference from Friday. After pummeling
the Colorado School of Mines at home two days earlier, the Roadrunners managed only a 1-0 victory
over Colorado State-Pueblo 1-0 on the road Sunday.
The No. 13 Metropolitan State College women's soccer team, led by Becca Mays' three goals,
cruised to a 5-1 victory over Colorado-Colorado Springs on Friday evening in Colorado Springs. The
Roadrunners improved to 8-1-0 overall and 5-0-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while
UCCS dropped to 2-4-0, 1-4-0 in conference.
University of Denver senior midfielders Mariah Johnston and Kelli Breidenbach combined for the
only goal as the Pioneers shut out North Texas 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at the University of
Denver Soccer Stadium.
In the 20th minute, Johnston dribbled from the right side of the field and fed Breidenbach
inside the box for a one-timer from eight yards.
The University of Denver women's soccer team ended its season with a 4-0 loss to No. 2 Portland
in the opening round of the NCAA tournament Friday night at Merlo Field in Portland, Ore.
Portland (19-1-0) tallied its first goal off a corner kick in the 25th minute as Danielle
Foxhoven's kick landed at the foot of Sophie Schmidt.
