Kraig Chiles' 33rd-minute goal snapped a tie and the U.S. Futsal national team
held off Canada 3-2 on Tuesday night at the CONCACAF Futsal Championships in Guatemala City.
The U.S. team, under the direction of Milwaukee Wave coach Keith Tozer and with
the Wave's Matt Stewart wearing the captain's armband, bounced back after a 5-2
loss to Panama in its Group A opener.
Milwaukee Wave midfielder Matt Stewart scored two goals as the U.S. Futsal national team
went 3-1-0 in friendlies against four Guatemalan professional teams during a recent training
camp.
The U.S. squad, led by Wave coach Keith Tozer, was preparing for next month's CONCACAF
Futsal Championship in Guatemala City.

defending regional champion Guatemala, Panama and Canada or El Salvador in Group A of the CONCACAF
Futsal Championship this summer in Guatemala City.
Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica and St. Kitts and Nevis were drawn into Group B at the tournament,
which is July 2 to 8 at Domo Polideportivo.
Milwaukee Wave forward Nick Perera and midfielder Matt Stewart are among 18
players called into a U.S. Futsal National Team camp that starts Sunday in Torrance, Calif.
U.S. coach Keith Tozer, who led Milwaukee to its second consecutive Major Indoor Soccer
League title earlier this month, also invited a familiar face in Wichita Wings midfielder Angel
Rivillo – he previously played with the Wave and the Milwaukee Rampage.
For the eighth time in his legendary career, Keith Tozer was named Coach of the Year.
The longtime Milwaukee Wave boss earned that honor from the Major Indoor Soccer League on
Thursday, an award voted on by league management and selected media members.
Tozer has the most coaching wins in indoor soccer history, with a 706-438 overall record over 27
seasons – the past 19 with the Wave.
The Milwaukee Wave have finalists in all five of the Major Indoor Soccer League's individual
award categories for the 2011-12 season.
Midfielder Marcio Leite (Most Valuable Player), Cedarburg native Joe Hammes
(Defender of the Year), Marcel Feenstra (Goalkeeper of the Year), Nick Perera (Rookie
of the Year) and Keith Tozer (Coach of the Year) all are on the ballot for the honors.
Milwaukee Wave coach Keith Tozer, who has won more than 600 games and five indoor soccer
league championships, was one of nine people named to the United Soccer Leagues Hall of Fame Class
of 2011 on Tuesday.
He is one of three men named in the MISL category of the Hall, joining legendary player

The U.S. Futsal national team, led by Milwaukee Wave coach Keith Tozer, finished 0-3 at
the Grand Prix tournament in Manaus, Brazil.
The Americans, ranked 24th in the world, lost to No. 27 Uruguay 7-0 and sixth-ranked Iran 8-0 on
Monday before closing out Group C play at the elite tournament Tuesday with a 10-7 loss to
Belgium.

Wave announced their first signings of the 2011 offseason. Defender, Fabinho
Ribeiro, agreed to a 3 year contract with the team.

record, Keith Tozer is the most successful coach in North American indoor soccer history. Tozer,
who has served as a head coach for the past 26 years, has called Milwaukee home for 18 of them. As
coach and vice-president of team operations for the Milwaukee Wave, Tozer, 53, guided the franchise
to titles in 1998, 2000, 2001.

Fame at a banquet Saturday night at American Serb Hall in Milwaukee.
