Another daft name for a football club but then I'm English and what do I know? ATM, Angkata Tentara
Malaysia, are the initials of Malaysia's armed forces and ATM, not a machine that dispenses cash,
is their football club.
They went into the season flush with cash signing big names including striker Marlon Alex James who
was so inspirational with Kedah when they won back to back trebles a few years back.

While their South East Asian neighbours were either being thrashed in the latest World Cup
Qualifiers or were focused on the SEA Games in Indonesia, Malaysia were hard at work looking to
sustain their recent run of success.
They played a couple of friendlies in India against the national team and drew their first game 1-1
(Safiq Rahim) before losing the second 3-2 when Pelita Jaya striker Safee Sali scored twice.

Not a good night for the region's teams in the AFC Cup with three defeats and one goal scored.
Persipura, all conquering at home, must fly to Iraq and win by at least two clear goals as must
Chonburi.

You could throw a rock from JB to Singapore. If you had a strong arm. And were standing in the
middle of the causeway. And a large pigeon suddenly swooped down from the Malaysian side, plucked
the stone from your hands and carried it over to Singapore before dropping it on the miserable
buggers who stamp passports for a living.
Full draw can be found on Malaysia Football.
Holders Kelantan will be kept on the road having been drawn against Johor FC, Sarawak and Felda
United.
Johor, the state team and not the private team mentioned earlier, have been drawn against Kedah,
Perak and Sabah so they to can build up the airlines.
Persipura and Indonesia striker Boas Solossa has reportedly turned down a move to Malaysia.
Apparently the money on offer was pretty good but Boas has said he wants to stay in Indonesia with
the champions.
The Malaysian team? Not any of the big boys like Selangor or Kelantan or Kedah but Sime Darby!

Sriwijaya play some team from the Arab world in a final play off next week. I would love it if they
