I want to apologize to everyone for being down the last couple of days. Quite frankly the blog
has been running poorly since last Thursday. I spent hour and hours trying to figure it out to no
avail. A very big thanks to Superrookies friend Jeff Austin for spending his whole evening
working to get IMS back up and running.

No, there isn't thing officially saying that MLS is coming to Detroit, and I'm not insinuating
that it is.
Today the Pontiac Silverdome was sold for peanuts, really. $583,000 for an 80,000-seat stadium.Â
The Silverdome certainly has aged, and it hasn't aged well, but it could always be upgraded and
when it's all said and done this firm, which at the moment is still anonymous, got it for a
steal.

Last week, I posted a tweet that if I was reborn, I would become a Tottenham Hotspur supporter
simply because of The Spurs Show podcast. And I meant it. Most of the readers here know me
as a Swansea City supporter, but there's something completely endearing, refreshing, honest and
depressing about being a regular listener to The Spurs Show that makes me feel closer to
the pain one must feel supporting THFC.

At the age of 18, most would say Shane Supple had it made. Subbed on for
Ipswich in the thirty-fifth minute against Leicester, he kept a clean sheet for the rest of the
match. Supple's future looked bright, but almost as soon as he debuted for the first team, the
Dublin native met with Roy Keane to effectively end his young career.

As we have seen from the excellent reporting by Kartik and Brian Quarstad this week, the future
of the United Soccer Leagues is very unclear and very much up in the air.
Whether or not some will admit it, the USL is very important to American soccer. Some have said
the USL has no reason to exist, and that Major League Soccer and the USSF the latter of whom
sometimes seem to be allergic to work can hand both the professional game and player
development.

But this time Puerto Rico beat an MLS team in CONCACAF play, once again reigniting a debate which
MLS apologists do not want to have.
I have to say I am somewhat offended that many of my colleagues and friends in the soccer blogger
