du Nord spent two great days last week in Kansas City attending the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America convention and the Major League Soccer SuperDraft.
It was filled with fun, frolicking, food, fantasy, fast cars, fast women (not nearly enough),
french fries, famous players, a funky monkey, fruit plates, flaun, freaky beards, finely tuned
speeches, frumpiness, factotums, flora & fauna, fajitas, fabulous lawns, firm handshakes, fake
smiles, fake boobs, fantasmagorical nightlife, flibbertigibbets, florescent lighting, ferrets,
fission, fusion, fashion, fabulous frickin barbeque, fat fucks, fine fine music, and more futbol
fanaticos then you could ever hope to find in one place!
Their Words "They're getting the music. They understand that the pace internationally is much
faster. The demand is much faster in terms of the concentration, speed of play, speed of thought,
speed of implementing certain things." US National Team coach Jurgen Klinsmann. Other Sources

Today is about the Union sitting at home and waiting for three other teams to either succeed or
fail. The Inquirer breaks down the Union's prospects for falling into the wild card game.
Bottom line: Union fans basically have to watch Kansas City, Houston, and Columbus this weekend
and hope they don't win.

STARTERSThe curse is over! Dallas has done it! It's the first MLS team to ever win a game in Mexico! Oh
yeah oh yeah! It only took 25 tries! But its over!

Clint Dempsey scored twice for Fulham as they won in the Europa League today. Nice.

9 Americans played in the Europa League today.
Well, it took a number of years, and a couple dozen tries, but an MLS team has finally scored a
victory south of the border in CONCACAF Champions League group play as FC Dallas defeated Pumas
UNAM 1-0 in Mexico City. It shouldn't have taken this long, but sincere congratulations to Schellas
Hyndman's side for finally breaking the ice.
Some supporters throw flares, some supporters throw urine,
some supporters throw feces and some throw streamers on the
pitch, all equally stupid. But Kansas City has gone to a new low by some stupid fan that threw a
Omar Bravo Bobble-head at their own keeper.
Portland and Vancouver are justifiably getting the attention this year, along with the Sounders.
But maybe I'm just helplessly MLS 1.0, because I'm really excited about Kansas City.
Well...not the roster, so much. But everything else.
Oh, God, no, not the name. Yes, all these people are wrong.
Their Words They are an unbelievable team. The way they play, how they understand their system, and
it's nice to play against a team like that. DC United coach Ben Olsen, after his club's 2-1 loss to
Ajax. Other Sources Fans get first glimpse of Livestrong Park - from The Kansas City Star's Charles
