3

Kansas City's Peter Vermes was offered the GM position before Bruce Arena, but turned it down.

Interesting.

Arena wasn't AEG's first choice.

From the Kansas City Star:

"A week ago (Tuesday), AEG asked for permission to speak to me," Vermes said. "Our ownership group (OnGoal LLC) .

What was up last night during the Columbus v Kansas City game with announcer John Harkes calling Guillermo Barros Schelotto, "guh-LAIR-moe", the whole game. Was he kidding? Was it an inside joke? Did no one on the production staff tell this guy how to pronounce a name? His TV partner JP Dellacamera got it right. Click to continue reading...

Finishing School

1

I said it before and I'll say it again. A win is a win. That's three points, and if I'm not mistaken, at least remaining within a shouting distance of sixth place.
