One team that we tendto forget from time to time when it comes to stadium discussions is the Kansas City Wizards. Well we may be putting their stadium needs to rest soon enough. KansasCity.com is reporting this evening that a final agreement for the stadium development is finally up for consideration by Wyandotte County officials.

That sound you hear coming from Kansas City, Kansas is the sound of progress. Cheesy indeed but good news either way for Wizards fans and fans of Major League Soccer in general.

The hard hats are out and the big yellow trucks are already moving dirt.

According to a report in the Kansas City Business Journal, the Kansas City Wizards have picked a new location for their potential new home at the West Village in Kansas City, Kansas.

"Although the formal agreements have yet to be inked, we're confident enough in the pace and direction that, starting next week, you'll begin to see yellow machines on site at Village West in Kansas moving dirt, at our expense," Heineman wrote in the letter, posted on the Wizards' Web site.

It has been quite a full day for some, others are left catching up on all the twitter messages that were lost today. There are plenty of good links to discuss so let's not waste any more time with the formalities.

First up is the lovely discussion that will be on going for the next 20 or 30 years with Major League Soccer.

Well, well it looks like the Kansas City Wizards' stadium is going to turn out to be a real nice on after all. A couple months ago we got some photos of renderings of the stadium and today we got more up to date copies thanks to the wonderful work of The Back Post (a very good KC photo blog I must say).

Over the last week and a half I missed out on quite a bit of stuff so I felt tonight would be a good way to recap some things and give you all my opinion on each. We've had plenty of new players get signed this past week, including one Designated Player...which in Major League Soccer is always a big deal.
