The Kansas Magic bolstered their roster this week by adding 2 players familiar to followers of college and indoor soccer in the Kansas City area. Both locals participated in the Missouri Comets' invitational tryouts prior to the 2010/2011 season.
Midfielder/Forward James Katajwa played at Park University (MO) and was named to the 2007/2008 PASL All-Star team during his 3 years with the Kansas City Kings.

The Real Colorado Foxes will find out on June 14 who the team will face in the first round of the U.S. Open Cup.

The Foxes, off to a 4-0 start, earned a spot in the nation's oldest soccer tournament when the Des Moines Menace suffered a surprise 2-1 loss to the Kansas City Brass on May 25.

The Foxes will find out the team's opponent and whether the team, in just its third season of existence, will get to host an Open Cup match.

The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver seemed willing but unpolished during a practice game Monday, the fifth day of his tryout with Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer.

He will meet with coach Peter Vermes on Tuesday and neither man sounded optimistic that his hope of playing professionally would go much further than Monday's reserve game against the Kansas City Brass, a local development team.

Chad Ochocinco's trial with Sporting KC has been extended by 2 days to Monday. This is to give KC to get a look at him in a reserve game, as Monday the Rangers take on the Kansas City Brass. This is the first reserve game of the season since the league started.

Chad Ochocinco's soccer career is going to last just a little bit longer.

Sporting Kansas City confirmed today that the Cincinnati Bengal's receiver will take part in a reserve match against the Kansas City Brass on Monday, extending his trial into next week.

Was able to talk to Chad Ochocinco after practice. He has been invited to stay at least through Monday when the reserves for Sporting Kansas City will scrimmage the Kansas City Brass.
